How come they only describe the republican cause where are the alternative citizens views

The citizens of Dublin were initially against the rebels and the rebellion. The barbaric treatment by Britain of those involved (sent to interment camps in England and Wales and shooting the leaders in Kilmainham Jail (some of whom were almost dead already and had to be carried out into the courtyard there to be shot) completely changed the public opinion. Besides that, Britain had colonized our country since 1530's, took what they wanted, ignored three famines, had the citizens living like serfs in their own country, were the reason for the mass depopulation of its population by starvation and emigration etc etc. I think you get the picture. They had to go and it took the courage of these men and women to give the ultimate sacrifice for Ireland to get an (almost) free state. My grandfathers two brothers fought in the Rebellion and my Grandfather joined the civil war a few years later as he was too young in 1916.
