That hard freeze thats been happening after you load, or after a challenge has been screwing me over. More than once Ive come out of that freeze somehow spinning out, or ran into a tree. Man that crap is driving me insane. I wonder if its a predetermined level 10 car, because they REALLY wanted you to have the Lambo in that game.

Yeah, that lag thing definitely doesn’t (currently) happen on Series X. In fact gotta say that since the last lot of emergency fixes to resolve the disastrous issues from that first major patch the SX version has been pretty damn good.

I had a race like that once. Got to the final race, just me and 1 other guy. I was still in my level 1 car and he was a 9. He ended up crashing like 3 times during the final race and I ended up winning in a level 1.

I think the biggest skill to helping people win the eliminator more is just simply map knowledge. Knowing where alot of the bigger obstacles are at like the rocks and cliff faces, or when coming across things like forests and rivers and finding the best paths to go through them or to outright avoid them if your car can't handle it

That’s funny you also get the lagging right before it starts joining open racing or the eliminator. I have also noticed the same timeout bug where it starts to give you timeout even though you haven’t left the arena. It’s annoying how everyone is experiencing the same few bugs and Forza still hasn’t patched them. Hopefully soon

This week, I've found that every time I upgrade, the arena timeout increases. Maybe that's just coincidence, but it looks like the same thing is happening to you. Once it assigns a timeout, it keeps bumping it on the car swap

I think that "lag" at the head-to-head an anti-cheat technology. Whether it is or isn't, I've found that the delay is much lower on the Series X than on Windows. Maybe it's the console's super fast SSD, maybe it's because the Xbox doesn't have to run a bunch of apps like a full PC

Depends on the car and the person. I prefer manual w/o clutch in most of the game, so that’s what I used because it’s what I’m used to. manual also gives some advantages off-road where you can downshift when needed
