I totally agree with you that it feels like the developers have just given up on this game. With recycling the Hot Wheels concept, to all of the same old cars being added back in, it feels more like Horizon 3.5 than a brand new game. I hate to say it, but unless they have something truly special planned for the second expansion (if it ever comes out) to win back my trust, this will probably be the last version of Horizon I spend money on.

For me, Need For Speed Underground 1 has always been a childhood favorite and now that I’m older, i see that it was a game way ahead of its time. If you could do a play through somehow, maybe investigate the customization options in that game, I would be incredibly happy and would watch every vid. Much love mate

It would be so easy for them to make the weekly challenges more diverse and creative, but the fact that the formula hasn't changed since release, show's how little effort gets put into the things that matter. But at least we have christmas trees...

In my humble opinion keeping track of how many racers you eliminate or where you finish overall in games of The Eliminator just takes the fun out of the game mode. I know there are people who like keeping track of those things but to me it makes the game mode feel more like a job than something fun to pass your time in.

Although, we're all different and have fun in different ways if you and other people like to keep track of how many times you've won in rounds of The Eliminator great keep it up if that's what makes you happy. Don't get me wrong I like to win races in The Eliminator and other modes of the game. However, even if I'm not winning I still have fun b/c at the end of the day FH5 as a whole is just a game and I play games for the pleasure they give and the challenge they provide you with. Keeping a spreadsheet of stats as I do that at work all the time, isn't something I find to be fun. It's just another task that needs to be done to keep track of things at work, which is why I feel keeping track of those wins in The Eliminator is more akin to job and why I don't do it.

I totally agree with Dubs, the last 2 months has been very underwhelming with the Donut Media and Anniversary update, but at least we’re getting some actually new cars recently. I personally think the reason why the devs are not releasing as much content is because they want to extend the lifespan of this game, in horizon 4 after we got all the new DLCs and game modes, there’s really not much going on in the rest 1 and a half years. Rumors said series 17 is a big one so hopefully they can keep up the good streak with series 15 and 16 and not disappoint.

The car selection has now become slightly more predictable with when you get one car the next one will be the same as last time, IDK why, might be seasonal or the devs update fault. 3:58 bring new players in? i'm sorry but i'm not spending the same money i could use to buy 5 other games just to have FH5 and a few DLCs, and gamepass just it isn't for me either, i don't see point the point of playing a game i can't even own. honestly it doesn't matter how much content they add to the game if a lot of it is still paid content on top of the already absolutely ridiculous base price for the game. if they really want to bring new players in, they need to lower prices or at least make it on sale every once in a while, especially in poor countries like Brazil where we pay like the equivalent to $50 for the base game + a lot more for each DLC

@@DUBSmb i think you missed the point. I said i can buy 5 other games, not 5 AAA games. Games don't have to be massive productions to be good games, and when you look at a AAA game's price, it has to have something that stands out from other games to justify the price difference, and Forza as much as love it, simply doesn't have that, Horizon 3 was peak Forza gameplay, and i still play Horizon 2 to this day because i see no point in getting essentially the same game with refreshed graphics and a new map, and maybe one or two new game modes. When you think of a good AAA game that stands out in some way to justify the price, even though i don't like that specifc type of game and don't plan on playing it for that reason, Elden Ring is a great example of a recent game that does just that. Forza on the other hand just seems lazy, like a "throw everything in and sell it as much as possible in as little time as possible" game, not mention the insane content recycling. Like fr how fucking many post-release cars in Horizon 5 had already been in previous titles in the franchise? We had those already, we played with them, give players something new for once Forza has literally become the FIFA of racing games

Coming from never having the chance to playing horizon 1 2 or 3.. I see both sides.. The producers need to do better.. Horizon 5 is a remake of 3 and 4 with upgrades sprinkled in..
