Is there any point of upgrading from my djm700 to 800? It seems you can only use one colour effect on a Chanel at a time? I can't use crush on channel 2 and filter on channel 3 and play around?

No, you can only layer two effects at once, your sound color effects(the blue buttons on the left) and one of the effect panel ones(on the very right).

I really like the harmonic mixing ability of the 800, but also the multiple sample slots of the 400, which the 800 seems to lack. Is there a mixer that has both of these features?

your DJM-800 has -12 dB EQ on the mic. everywhere I see -6 dB. How is this possible?
