As well as fulfilling the role of superstar DJ and one-third of supergroup Magnetic Man, the lively beat-smith also has production credits for the likes of Katy B and US rapper Eve.
Here Benga works with dubstep vocalist Youngman, an up and coming singer signed to Shy FX's Digital Soundboy label, on a track for his forthcoming new album.

DMZ, and Kode9 made dubstep. Skream, Benga and Loefah followed, next came Caspa & Rusko (->fabriclive 37), afterwards there was Borgore on the very last was Skrillex. These are the people that had an impact on the sound of dubstep over it's lifetime. Some were good, some were bad. (different people different taste)

I did misinterpret your comment and for that I apologize. With that being said, there is a certain responsibility I feel people should have in regards to stereo types. I myself have an eclectic group of friends ranging from black, white, gay, lesbian, etc. I try to refrain from using stereotypical comments because I'm aware of the weight they carry. Even if you're using the term gay in regards to "silly messing around", its still offensive to their culture. Why perpetuate stereo types? Respect!

You've obviously never seen the video of him sitting in his bedroom with an old version of Logic running on a PC with some old speakers - where he sat for 18 hours a day making all his early music. And you obviously know nothing about making music if you think a studio with a good desk, full range monitors and no room modes affecting the bass when mixing is "cheese rubbish".

Really what happened is he lost a lot of creational intertwining with Skream and has also let the fame of the situation get to his head. Before he was producing because he enjoyed the art of the craft and he loved the rhythm and he had fun with it. Now he's stopped doing it for the reasons he use to and has started doing it because he is in fact famous for the music he makes.
