I can't stop watching. One of the most beautiful things about violin players is watching them play and how "lost" they get in the music. You are a joy to watch.

Yes. In 2011, my buddy e-mailed me some dubstep songs as I was on a venture to create and launch dubstep violin, and I instantly feel in love with this song. I called my camera crew "Million Dollar Dreamz" over to my house and 25 mins later, I recorded this video. I had about 10 shots on hen, and went in from the soul. We kept the first and only take. After that, I coined the phrase "Dubstep Violin" and made it a regular thing.

Everyone keeps bringing up lindsey stirling, but this - this is real talent, not that I don't like her stuff - but this puts her tunes to shame. Improvisation, subtle artistic dissonance, brilliant technicality. Overall - really impressed by this, far beyond Lindsey Stirling's more standardized - to the grain - stuff anyway.
@KevUrbie11 жыл бұрын
Who the heck is lindsey stirling?
@TraceofHatred11 жыл бұрын
A somewhat more streamlined/famous violinist who likes to combine dubstep and violin who came long after this guy but is often credited with mastery over the genre. She's not a bad artist by any means - she just has nothing on this guy.

I found this again after more than a few years. Something kinda "clicked" with me about your description. This might be "improv" and you say "you took a minute to get into it". But... In order to sell this performance as your own, you had to compliment the original artist first. Taking your time is key. When you "locked" in, that's when you took over the performance, which was the goal. Without that initial lead-in, this wouldn't have come across half as well. You have natural talent, sir. You always have.

I am absolutely in *love* with this guy. He deserves all the Grammy nominations (five apparently!!) and views he can get. "Virtuosic" does not even begin to describe the level this guy is at, and it genuinely makes me despair that there are instrumentalists out there who couldn't play anything close to this, but get much more recognition... because their videos are more flashy! :( Share this guy with as many people as you can because a talent like this MUST NOT go bloody unnoticed!

Yasser Arafat Lol sure whatever. You don't like it, that's okay, there's not a thing in the world loved by everyone. Not even Vivaldi is loved by everyone. Also music changes, so do people. Yasser Arafat, just because a violin was originally made as a classical instrument, it doesnt make distortion on a violin atrocious. as a violin player i must say a violin can do much more than play music over 300 years old. this stuff is wicked, awesome. its not bad, just different. u might not like it but it still doesnt make it bad
