Even if you just want to switch the topic to talk about UE5 games only, there are still plenty of things current UE5 games can improve graphically. Let's not even talk about graphics fidelity for a second, there are HUGE GAP between UE5 games and real life in the areas of draw distance, LODs, shadows etc. Do you see buildings suddenly popping up in real life? Do games have even 1/100000 of the visual details of real life objects?

The Outer worlds and Days gone are both unreal games yet on a technical level, outer worlds feels more limited, occasionally having loading screens when going through some doors. if rockstar used unreal, they'd make every unreal engine game look amateur in comparison coz their developers are just that good(and have the resources). GTA 4s open world holds up to this day

Rdr2 is already ahead of its time true..what impressed me the most is that rdr2 was made for the ps4 in mind,.. Sony announced that rockstar studio will continue thier support partnership for the ps5.. Im very excited because this will benefit pc greatly but the only downside is the timed exclusive for console and timed exclusive dlc items for the sony console.. The powerful the console the more in will benefit on pc..

I took this video and compared it with the original RDR2 on ultra 4k and although there are some differences in the shading, I think IT IS NOT worth or a monthly subscription for the reshade. RDR2 is ALREADY beautiful on its own and I actually did a blind test with 50 of my friends, showing them separately this video and the original game, they could not tell the difference of which one had a reshade VS the original game. The only way they were able to see the difference was when I put them side by side. ALSO, a buddy of mine had actually purchased this reshade and we compared game play side by side, although it does have some graphical differences, we believe that it still not worth for a MONTHLY subscription fee. Now I am not saying that this reshade is bad, I'm just saying specifically for RDR2, this reshade is not necessary.

But the animations are already damn near life like. Rockstar used the euphoria physics engine for the animations and they’re realistic as hell. Though sometimes the NPC’s can get stuck in some invisible collision which results in unrealistic looking animations.

Yes!!! Can you imagine GTA 6 putting an emphasis on fluidity and quickness--sprinting for blocks at a time trying to get away from police while you're accurately able to shoot. Parkouring fluidly and seamlessly between buildings with the possibility of falling off realistically based on physics if you can't get a good grip. I think movement would make it a true next gen experience. Rockstar doesn't have a fast-paced game out right now. GTA V felt fast-ish in 2013, but now feels medium/average. RDR2 took it to an extreme but went slow. What if GTA 6 goes in the other extreme and has a focus on speed?

Unreal Engine 5 isn't about the graphic fidelity, it's a side effect of the engine design and all of the systems that simplify "computationally" harder GPU and CPU processes. No engine out has anything on UE5's NANITE system.

Red dead Redemption is so realistic that if you hang out with the railway builder crew you can see them hammer in the rail spikes overtime. I think in the epilogue of the game that same railway is finished. Also, your character and everything else in the game reflects off of animals eyeballs.

While UE5 is the latest line of a game engine succeeding the 4th, the RAGE engine was clearly ahead of its time. No amount of engines would beat each other out when they have their own aspects of articulation through simulation.

Its the 8x MSAA here that's the Killer. I remember turning that on in Deus Ex Mankind divided at Ultra settings at 3440x1440 on my 3080 and seeing less than 30fps average framerate, that thing kills framerate in everything.

@@adarwinterdror7245 Unfortunately rockstar hasnt released a PS5 upgrade to RDR2 yet. So when people are playing it on PS5, they're essentially playing the PS4 Pro version but with better load times and more consistent frame-rate (still locked at 30, but doesn't drop no matter what)
