I just mounted the quick shifter on the bike. Seems to be working OK, needs bit of setup change..However the cable at the connecting ends are 'bare', good to put some form of thermal tape you reckon?

Hi mate sorry for late reply, do you mean bare as in actual copper cable showing? if yes then I would be taping it up as moisture will eventually work its way inside the cable and corrode it.

Any concerns with respect to the gearbox after this mod?

Non so far, its a simple mod done by many on the hyper as well as other bikes and no reports of gearbox issues that I've heard of.

@@n9ik362 Its simple enough, just take your time and you'll manage no problem.
