Funny story....this is how I taught myself to braid. I had all kind of squiggly braids on my hair in high school. I couldn't part so I just squiggled the braids till I got the braiding part down. Then I worked on parting.

First let me say I love your work, been watching for a while to pick up new methods and techniques from you, so I thank you for your bravery on showing us! But I remember one thing another braider taught me is when someone has a greater density of hair such as your client, you should or could start feeding in close or to the end of the braid so it won’t look so thick as you said!! Cause home girl got a beautiful set of hair!!! Just a pointer, but thank you again!!

I use to braid my brothers hair like this… it takes a long time when you don’t pre part. Now that I know new techniques it’s easier to braid and much faster and cleaner than back then.

Great job. I normally mix my own braid before I go to get my hair braided. For me it means less time spent in a styling chair. I don't have a problem doing that, but, I'm from the Caribbean and most will not agree with me.

You are so talented like wow, and its amazing the way your mind works because in the video when you braided your babies hair, I seen how you could have made a few styles with the format of hearts... Like an older person you could add hair and make like two layer cornrows or feed ins ...and like im so terrible at braiding like i used to do my sister's hair but shed unfortunately get made fun of because women tend to do cosmetology so its it's uncommon that im not good at it... I do two stamd twist before braids to help me 😂😂😂but it actually made me really sad because she never wanted.e to braid it again but she said it was breaking off... But she washes her hair too often but i had that phase... I wash my hair with rosemary,ginger, clove water, rive water that type of thing... But like even when i greased her scalp and i wasn't excessive with the oil she ran and washed it 😡😡😡😡 that oil had chebe in it. I banned her because of her attitude cause she literally said her hair was breaking but arguing about washing it talking about "i only washed out half of it" like i know clean hair is nice but as black people like idk our hair is different. I also use sidr and neem . The oil actually had neem, moringa,clove, ginger, amla, fenugreek and chebe. She said she put deep conditioner and its like a social norm to rinse things out. I mean ig it can be effective but maybe not as efficient all the time. Cause also the stuff in the oil make your hair stop shedding..when you wash it out youll see shedding even though its less than usual. Like if you want you hair to stop breaking its good to halt shedding but idk im different . Like maybe wait a day or week not 15-20 minutes But its not even just your creativity its the skill like im imagining trying to do these braids - and i appreciate the parting you do just for a mental note
