I’ve always used that same DC call. I use their teal call to. No need to spend a fortune on a call. We don’t get mallards here in my neck of the woods in Florida.

Flextone WD Call is hands down the best. It’s made of rubber and you can imitate just about any sound a woody makes.

I like the DC call too but the read sticks sometimes. I thought the BG call might be a good backup for when that happens. Thanks for the video.

Thanks! Practicing these calls has become so addictive to me. People see me riding down the interstate and wonder what I’m doing. Thanks for the comment. I hope it helps ya. Share it with your friends.

That’s definitely not a drake woodie

Yes Jase does sound really good, but you do a really good job of explaining each call. His and Joel's video can be confusing if you don't know what a Woodie sounds like. Thanks.

You should try the big river calls made by mick Lacey those calls put the buck gardner and duck commander to shame

does the buck gardner call have the same reed system as the dc wood duck call? Or is the buck gardener call just that little inserted whistle thing?

Hello, I just bought the DC wood duck call and I was wondering if you could tell me how you are blowing to make each sound? Sean
@noize935 жыл бұрын
Sean Engel it took me a few hours but I’ll do my best. The hen and drake call I do 1st is based on the pressure and speed of air blown into the call. I increase the pressure and cut it off really fast to give it that “whip” sound. That is the most common sound. I make a feeding mallard sound (tooka tooka tooka really fast) to make the clicking sound. The others are pressure based and how you squeeze your hand to cut off the air. I hope that helps. I have a few other duck calling videos if you scroll through my page. Good luck out their.
