Prydz is just smart I guess. Thomas didn't think it was good enough to release, so somebody had to. Maybe he knew it would be too successful. He got mad when Stardust was too successful.

I’m the one that interviewed DJ Falcon in 2009 on this topic. Prydz stole the idea, 100%. Yes, he re-recorded the vocals, but he saw an opportunity and took it which skyrocketed his career.

I’m the one that interviewed DJ Falcon in 2009, which included discussion of “Call On Me.” Eric Prydz stole the idea for “Call On Me,” 100%. Yes, he re-recorded the vocals and actually released it, but he saw an opportunity and took it which skyrocketed his career. No disrespect to his subsequent work which is incredible, but it’s a black eye on how he achieved his fame.

Prydz basically understood that it was a mistake at the time and steered quite fast away from the track and actually made some good stuff in his own style

but this kinda turned against him because he hates it and never wants to be associated with it :D

You should buy avocados direct from a farmer. You can do that in Europe at least. Buy like 2 kilos at once. They come unripe. When the avocados start to ripen put them in the fridge. You have PERFECT avocados for weeks. Because nobody touched them in the supermarket they have no damages. Even if you take one after 2 weeks and you think it’s too old already (because you know how old avocados look and feel from supermarket when they’re old) it’s still perfect. 🤩

More conversations like this ,much love from Montreal. There are too many innovative accomplishments. There needs to be a movie on the contributions he's made in music bringing a more cooperative blend to dance music. We shouldn't wait for anyone to pass away before honouring certain contributions.

I remember the story about playing a mp3 of bangalter & falcon on a my radio show back in a day. I got a song from a friend who found the mp3 on the net. So I was really confused when the prydz version was released as a hit cause I played that almost year before. 😁
@BluppMeNot3 жыл бұрын
People are so uneducated about stuff. Go listen to the version Prydz first played in the clubs. Fans and labels pressured him to release it and he's been regretting it ever since. Joachim Garraud produced everything David Guetta slammed his name on.

As they discussed, Eric Prydz stole the song 'Call on me' from Thomas & Falcon
@Ravix0fFourHorn3 жыл бұрын
with the same logic Thomas and Falcon stole it from Steve Winwood first.
@gizzaalive3 жыл бұрын
@@Ravix0fFourHorn Man, that is a bit different because *_Together_* took the sample to make a "new song" (They started from scratch); _Eric Prydz_ "stole" the soul of the "demo" by *_Together_* and he make the song that everybody knows…
@qlcrane80192 жыл бұрын
@@Ravix0fFourHorn They made the song and used the lyrical sample that was from Winwood. Eric Prydz (and many others) just copied what Thomas and Falcon did. There is a huge difference.

I recently found a very unofficial looking press of Bangalter and Falcon's Call on me, this with the runout code being BANG 001 Does anyone know what the origin of this was or how many where made?
@qlcrane80192 жыл бұрын
There are at least 3 popular "bootleg" versions of the Bangalter and Falcons call on me that are actually just copies of the stolen version a duo/trio called "Retarded Funk" did from the original call on me by thomas and falcon. Must be one of those
