Wonderful writing, beautiful settings, incredible dialogue and depth. The fact it may never get a sequel breaks my heart, man. This was a heartwarming scene to watch, just two people talking to each other about their feelings in a realistic and mature way. Which is surprising considering how comedic the game can be at times. Nearly teared up when Drax said *“I hope your Mother found her way to heaven.”*

Usually I'm not one to be torn up emotionally by things anymore unless it's a personal experience that just slaps me in the face but I would be lying if my throat didn't seize up and I nearly broke down and bawled from this, specially when just a few moments before I was both marveling Knowhere and fuming at Rocket being a prick. Eidos when they take their time can produce masterworks. And I hope that if they continue with this, that they put this kinda effort into any future Guardians stuff. While I like the MCU and its own quirks, this was like Snyder Cut fleshed out as a game. The line between "The Guardians" and what I humorously coin "The Gunn-dians".

This game surprised me in so many ways, anyone here also much prefer this version of guardians over the MCU one? The character development, the story, the gameplay, everything done so well. I still remember I was so in awe when I see Drax standing over the fence, the graphics are breathtaking, and having this emotional conversation, just hits even more. Peter, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot, all are better depicted in this version, love the team, really hope they will make a sequel! Wishlist for the sequel. + Little less linear. + More variants of exploration rewards, not just scraps and costumes. + More depts into Guardians' skill tree. + More galactic monsters and mini bosses. Anyone agree on these? I'm so glad I gave this game a try, and it is now my Game of the Year!

They really knew what they were doing with Drax in this game. He isn't just purely comedic value like in the movies. They even removed most of his powers in the MCU. In the games he has a lot more physical strength and often gets serious and says something serious thought provoking. It's not that he's stupid, he's just literal and doesn't understand Earth customs or figures of speech. He's actually fairly intelligent. And Square Enix seemed to understand this. I'm not even a huge comic fan, but even I can tell they did his character true justice in this game. This scene really brought a tear to my eye.

The writers for this game should write the stories for current marvel comics. Cause we all know they aren’t doing great In the moment. Most of them are just people putting their agendas first rather than putting a good story and the fans first. Like for example: in a Guardians of the Galaxy comic, they made Star Lord Bi simply because Chris Pratt( who is playing the current live star lord) is Christian and they simply did that to try to somehow insult him even though he didn’t do nor said anything bad to no one. This doesn’t hurt him but it shows that these current writers, don’t care about the characters or narrative and are simply using the fame it got to push and publish their agendas for a wider audience.

Other than this game having repetitive gameplay everything else is really good!
