I just chalk them both up together as one unit, instead of trying to split hairs on who goes harder. I.e. Trying to split the difference is like trying to choose which side of a classic vinyl record you think goes harder; the "A-side" or the "B-side" - why not just accept the fact both sides are still the same record, therefore the entire vinyl is cold af. There would be no ruck without the rock and vise versa. Heltah skeltah fo' life! BCC is the hardest MC group collabo since the mighty "Wu-Tang". The sheer conceptual idea that was first demonstrated by the clan from shaolin is pure genius! "Let's come together as a whole team to make our names known, then each of us will have greater notoriety when its time to branch out on our own solo tapes." An absolutely phenomenal marketing strategy to say the least, let alone all the rest of the nuances that can be said about and appreciated in regards to the entire concept of such a ploy in of itself. Other collectives in hip-hop and rap have sought to achieve just that, and although many others have succeeded in their efforts, non have come close to what W.T.C. and B.C.C. have achieved, and the sheer respect and admiration they have garnered. And although West coast bay area artists of the Hyphy movement via Mac Dre and friends have laced up their own similar feats of admiration and achievements, the ever fading out of the hyphy movement lays as testament to just how special B.C.C. and W.T.C. were in efforts, locking down a cult like following that continues to grow and transcend, with longevity that doesnt appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
