(Ending note - please don't expect your neighbors to be happy about your cat trespassing causing stress/biosecurity risk to their animals/children, along with property/plant damage or pooping in their gardens, be a responsible cat owner, your cat will also be healthier and live longer for it :)
* Re Feeding*
I lock all the ducks in the run with their specific duckfeed for an hour or two after they ramage through the yard first thing in the morning. Then I let them out and remove any leftover feed for later in the morning to deter wildlife/sparrows stealing their food or going into the open partition of the duck run as they come in and out for the remaining day.
Arghh my boys are in fine form this Eostre tide. From this weekend, a first part duck diary/keeping vlog of which 2nd will be published this weekend. Will time stamp this vlog later tonight after I put my ducks to bed :) Recorded in the late tide of Midsprings Eostre Aus, 2024.
A caveat to keeping domestic duck sp. esp for a garden is that you will incur constant cost and they will require your constant protection/review of, specialist vet or Avian care and your attention. For someone wanting ducks just because they are cute and or for the garden alone then don't. Many ducks are not getting their needs met, are suffering silently and are often dumped in wildlife parks/lakes which they are not equipped to survive or be safe in. Imagine each duck you take on is akin to keeping a dog and if that is fine with you then ducklife and ducks in your garden is for you :)
