This test is not taken correctly, you should add Sodium chloride (NaCl) in water to increase the density of water as bitumen density is high and it touches the bottom surface, the result may be affected.

What is meant by "75 to 100 degree centigrade above softening point" If softening point is 50 then melt bitumen at 50+75=125 or 50+100=150 ??or just melt bitumen within 75 to 100??
