Fond memories for me, ice baths in Lake Superior, howling wolves in the night.

Thanks for sharing a great trip. I've been going out to the Island for 58 years. Backpacking, boating, sailing, canoeing and kayaking. hundreds of trips. Also had the pleasure of meeting the many folks who commercial fished or had camps around the Island. It is a magical place that grabbed my heart. I was hoping you would go to Hugginen Cove. There used to be a dock there and it is a great hike from Windigo. On my second backpacking trip I was up on the Ridge with lots of bugs, heat and short on water when I saw a boat out on that beautiful water and decided I had to explore more with a boat. I was in 9th grade. Thanks for sharing, Dave and the Nor' Wester

I love hiking early - the sunrise, cooler temps, more wildlife activity, peaceful trails.... ya... morning hikes good. I hiked the Island when I was a teenager. Would love to go back and do it again! Nice series!

Great videos! Finally, someone is doing all around the island🙏I was there last week of August and I was struggling the first few days , in my upper 40s, then it got easier and I decided to do Huginnin Cove on my zero day. My favorite trail out there❤However, Washington Creek was the place with the most encounters of moose. They love to cross the WC back and forth. Especially in the evening and/or early mornings.

Thanks for putting the effort into taking us along. Your storytelling of the trip was epic. When I did my solo hike last month on the island, the time in camp by myself and my thoughts was sometimes difficult! Hiking solo for me was a whole different experience. You hit on the unique challenge, and benefit of Isle Royale, which is you have a set time on the island and there is no real opportunity to rush it and get down early.

Other than the bull moose in the swamp my favorite shot was the chattering squirrel.

Absolutely amazing video. I loved all 3 of these and it really told a good story about the island. I went there in August and it was great. I love your channel and hope to see it grow. I subscribed for you. Did you happen to have this trip planned already or did you take my comment on a recent video into consideration? wondering when you went to. Awesome video and your effort shows

Thank you for such a nice series on the hiking in this national park. I'd heard of it but this is the first time seeing the details. As usual, a very good job in filming, narration, and production. I assume there were no trail markers and only signs at the intersections (?). I appreciate your great work, and thankful the Lord provided for you again.

Thanks Ken. Correct no blazes. Trails are pretty established though.

Maybe you didn't see it the first couple days is because you were still in "get it done" mode my friend (better friends than Rob and I because am not one of those fence straddlers😅). That other guy likes to smell the roses too much! Hahaha. Anyways, my wife and I were discussing your style a while back and wondered why you were in such a hurry to get it done. So glad you discovered the joy of slowing it down to really see it. Peace out!

How was the boardwalk from Hell on your second to last day? It is a section of trail on the island that I have yet to hike. I have not tried a hammock on the island but it didn’t seem that you had much difficulty finding a site except for the one night near Lane Cove. Great video!

No specific board walk was that memorable. That’s good thing I guess.
