In this video we take a ride on the Dudek Hadron 3 22m. After failing a few launches and busting a carbon fibre prop I went back to kiting the wing which I should have done in the first place before attempting to fly it.
If your looking for something fast and fun to fly, the Hadron 3 is it!

I have been flying 20 years and used to advanced wings but didbt like the Hadron 3. I hated how it launched. Never knew if it would come up cleanly and when it was up had no feeling so didnt know if it was flying or falling around my ears. Definitely have to have specific launch technique and find the unique trim setting. For me it was always on zero. Once flying it had excellent climb rate but any gust or turbulence and wing was all over the place. Very spicy wing and very much hands on. I know many love this wing but wasnt for me either. I loved the excitement of going flying but with the Hadron 3 I was anxious every time I got to the field not knowing if my take off would be ok or result in disaster. You have to always be on your A game with this wing and very often you just want any easy stress free flight. Awesome and honest review and as a result have the Luna 2 on order which from your earlier review seems like a great all rounder

Nice review! I've been flying for about 4 years now. Even when I was upgrading my wing, I still bought an A wing. Just a new one! All the rating means is how fast it recovers after a collapse. Now yeah, higher rated wings may be more agile. But not exactly. In my mind, it just means they're less safe. I don't see why anyone would trade sharp turns for safety. Seems like a really stupid trade :-D Some guys like me will just always preffer an A wing. Anyway great insight you're giving in these videos. Keep high above safety, don't let danger sneak up on ya! Cuz when it does, it tends to be hard to get away again.

When flying a low enB wing on my siv ,i was telling my instructor how safe it was, the next day i found myself upside down in my harness and almost trew my reserve. My instructor told me: it pisses me off when people think they fly a safe glider, now that i proved you wrong ,we can proceed .

nice hearing your review on this fly-guy after getting to fly it as well. The little things you pointed out I didn't like either, trims slipped on that demo wing, trim magnets popped up onto the brake magnets on launch and using tip steer when brakes stowed, often popped the brake magnets off, all for me too. I don't know why these gliders don't have stronger brake magnets to keep em in place better. Just little things to get used to I'm sure, I loved flying it though and found it really stable and smooth for XC, super fun to fly. and crank some turns on.

Good review, especially the launch characteristics. After I blew a few launches I had to do the same thing, kite and practice launches with a harness to get the feel of this wing. This wing is way different than the GTX I have been flying. I especially like the efficiency of this wing and the landing flare authority.

I know....another wing review! During the winter is when I get to try out some new gear and test things for next season. The new trike should be here in a couple weeks!!!

Thank you for the review. It looks as thought you need to reach up pretty high in order to use the tip steering. It would be worse for someone with a high hang point machine. I still prefer the older style tip steer toggles....although a bit of weight shift could course correct I suppose. Keen to see what you have to say about the Driftair when you get to test it. Thanks again.

Typically it is due to having too much snow on the ground which makes the footing slippery and unsafe. Currently at Innisfail there is way more snow. Maybe in the future we can find a warm place south of the border where students could travel to.

I also picked up with dudeks trims .they always flap around a lot. even with the magnets as this demo showed. and with 2 d risers pulling on the tip steer the magnet holders can come apart. so I have a ozone viper 4 with nearly the same setup.. I brought BGD brake magnet holders they are far better. so when I pull on the tip steer the brake connection to the BDG magnet holders stays put. and as for the trim grip.... it can slip??? I am not impressed at all.!! I have over 2,000 air hours and iam still learning. as far as I am concerned.. surely these wing manufactures know what there doing?? don't they! all the hours testing .doesnt anyone spot the trim grips? the trim magnet holders. the trim grip slippage?? geez. (BGD BRAKE MAGNET HOLDERS) FAR BETTER. I USE THEM ON MY OZONE VIPER 4 WING.

those brake handles look small aren't they? likewise the tabs on the trims seems like would be hard to pull with big gloves

Wow... completely different review than all the others I saw. Like the overshooting. Others say they need a fair amount of brake input to prevent overshooting and declare it a stable xc wing. Are you sure this specific wing is not a Monday morning model? with the slipping trimmer and stuff?

Once in flight the wing is stable. It could have been this particular wing with the slipping trims as I reported. I have not heard of the this issue before.

Nice review. Could you make some comments on beginner wings. It's been a while since I looked into this and now things have settled down in my life it looks like I'm ready for the coming season. However the market has changed and there's so many choices. I want a nice stable wing that I can cruise in. Thoughts ?
