He was one of the boys that became a manager, not really knowing what that means to the locker room, and is still trying to be one of the boys (or at the very least has the same habits). The wrestlers do impressions of him not so much out of disrespect (only for the title) but they still see that sliver of "one of the boys" in him that they try to reach in order to make things easier for everyone. They do it as openly as they do because they know deep fucking down he will never do anything to stop it. Trust me, I see it all the damn time in my line of work.

La Resistance made one of the worst botches on Spike Dudley when they attempted to double-power-bomb him out of the ring and through a table but they missed the table and Spike landed VERY hard on the concrete and was really hurt. It's in a KZbin video titles " Spike Dudley Misses the Table - 9-8-2003 Raw ".
@randolphsavage97606 жыл бұрын
It was worse than that; Spike's head clipped the edge of the table and honestly should have given him a severe head injury with that alone. Now you see why Bubba Ray Dudley had to be stiff with Sylvain because since this guy wasn't listening someone got hurt. It looks bad but it's done to remind and inform future talent (in ways they can only understand) that they could seriously injure someone by not caring.
@bluehefner8884 жыл бұрын
It’s was a double chokeslam

Spike was nowhere near the concrete. He landed the mat that was outside of the ring. It's thin and hurts but it's better than the concrete which he never landed on. Spike head hitting the edge of the table is what hurt him the most and you can clearly see it when watching the footage.

Definitely agree with what Bubba is saying with when trying to show the new guys the ropes and learning how to work a match and where the new guys just don't wanna listen and screwing up and having to teach them the hard way . It's called paying your dues in which Bubba gets that and you sit back ,shut up and learn from the guys that have been in the business for years and have performed to sold out crowds and can tear a house down night after night .that's how you learn and get better . Look at Team 3D with 24 World Tag Team Titles .Where the the hell is La Resistance let alone Sylvain Grenier ? nothing more than just another tag team that had their little footnote in wrestling .pretty much speaks for itself .
@MisterObjectivity7 жыл бұрын
Being a 24 time champion of anything in wrestling also means you lost it 24 times. Title reigns in WWE and TNA haven't meant anything since the late 1990s, when belts started to change hands every week. And I'll tell you what being a 24-time tag team champion means OUTSIDE the world of wrestling: nothing. That's right, big fat fucking zero. We wrestling fans sometimes forget that in the English speaking world, 99 percent of people don't care about wrestling. Take away those 24 title reigns, and Bubba is still a big fat racist, xenophobic, delusional fuckwit (and you have the gall to ask what Grenier is doing these days--probably very happy with his fallback job of professional model, and continuing to wrestle in Canada, thank you very kindly). Do you realise that when Bubba was interviewed by POWERSLAM magazine, he legitimately (not kayfabe, but legitimately) tried to convince the magazine's editor-chief interviewer Fin Martin that he and D-Von are brothers in real life? That shows you how low of an opinion Bubba has for the wrestling fans. And before you say "Oh, Bubba's not racist, look at his tag team partner!", just remember, you don't have to be bigoted against everybody in order to be a bigot. Ask Bubba on his opinion of Mexicans and foreigners in general. Bubba is just a fucking chickenhawk--after September 11, he was all for carpet bombing cities in Afghanistan, but I didn't see Bubba signing up to the military like Pat Tillman did. Oh no, Mister All-American Principles Bubba Ray thought he'd be better serving his country by continuing to work in a scripted entertainment business. It's just like John Wayne--making Hollywood propaganda films for entertainment, but never actually walking the walk along with talking the talk. Fuck this delusional, Hollywood wannabe, wearing-his-sunglasses-inside-like-some-superstar, fucking arsehole.

Well obviously somebody got a little offended by my statement about Bubba Dudley . Wow .Sylvain Grenier still wrestles and is a model.Whoop Di Frickin' Doo. Problably for some little bullshit indy that does banquet halls and considers 100 people a sellout . Well at the time of this Bubba was legit star and was teaching these guys how to wrestle so Grenier can partly thank Bubba who has been a legit star in ECW,WWE ,TNA ,Japan and most recently with ROH for teaching him his wrestling career .As far as his political views that's his business about what he believes and for him trying to convince a magazine that him and D-Von were legit brothers that was problably all a work .Haven't you heard of not breaking kayfabe ? No shit that most of the world couldn't care less about what goes on in the wrestling world cause problably they're too busy worrying about their Facebook and Twitter pages and what Kardashian family member is making a jackass of themselves . Newsflash Assclown wrestling fans are a certain type of breed and either you get us or you don't .plain and simple .As far as your so called little opinion yours and yours alone . Go find a hole to climb in and stay there you little troll wannabe . I got better things to do than waste my time on your pathetic ass.
@MisterObjectivity7 жыл бұрын
1) Not as offended as you are, apparently. 2) You asked what Grenier is doing, I told you, regardless of whether your question was rhetorical. 3) Problem is, he makes his political views everyone else's business, then fails to practice what he preaches, making him a fucking hypocrite of the worst kind. 4) Learn to comprehend English, dipshit: I said he was NOT kayfabing. The interviewer asked him "yes, but that's just your gimmick, right"? And Bubba got angry and said "No, really, we are, it's not a work!" The whole interview was a shoot until that point, which means, clearly, he was trying to convince Fin Martin (the interviewer) it was real. I have the interview in the magazine, you clearly don't. If he wasn't "breaking kayfabe", why did he shoot about everything else in the article? Makes no sense. He's retarded. 5) I'm a wrestling fan, but fact is, talking to your friends on Facebook and Twitter is more important than just watching wrestling. And I say this as someone who has neither Facebook nor Twitter. 6) Oh, no doubt, I couldn't give a shit about Hollywood celebs making idiots of themselves, but at the end of the day, what's wrestling? It's entertainment. Let's not talk about it like it's high art. Wrestling can do without such pretentiousness. 7) "Either you get us (wrestling fans) or you don't"? Why the exclusionary verbiage? I too, am a wrestling fan, one with more than 30 years viewing. But I'm also a human being with perspective. And Bubba is a piece of shit. And it seems you are, too.

Or it could be that Bubba is just a big fat fucking bully who enjoys belittling people. Bubba is a prime example of "people who suck never getting better", inside and outside the ring. I never saw anything impressive from him in the ring, nothing. And outside the ring, Bubba is a complete bullshit artist. He'd have you believe that he and D-Von are real brothers. He actually was quoted as saying this in POWERSLAM magazine (and he wasn't kayfabing). And I couldn't help but notice that pro-war Bubba never signed up for military service. Oh, that's right: Bubba would shit his pants if he got saddled with a drill sergeant like the one in FULL METAL JACKET. He enjoys bullying new recruits in wrestling, but isn't willing to go through the same in the military that he "supports" so diligently. Bubba is a big fat fucking hypocrite. @@uriah4827 I mean you can probably approach the issue without kicking the shit out of the rookie. But look, I'm not just talking about this particular incident. I wasn't there so I can only take Bubba's word for it over Sylvan's. I'm talking about the locker room mentality in general. And it's changed a lot since those days, that's just facts. The whole "getting the living shit kicked out of you to break you in" stuff is mostly a thing of the past as is many other vet-rookie initiations/hazings that used to be normal occurrences.
@alexs76702 жыл бұрын
@@SDG.12 it really is hard to say about this subject in general. I don't know how realistic hazing as envisioned is. What I mean is that I don't think most initiations are akin to the "code red" from "a few good men" for example. People are different, so someone may take a friendly prank much more seriously than someone else. Also, there are exactly two perspectives every wrestler has about wrestling politics, and you tell where they lie depending on how successful they were. If they were over, they sees the business as just being what it is. If they were never over they have a lot of bitterness about getting stabbed in the back or buried. And in this case it wasn't even that la resistance weren't liked by the dudleys. According to the interview they were working with them as mentors in the way they knew how, sylvain wasn't having it. This doesn't seem so bad considerng la resistance almost killed spike on a botched powerbomb. In a business where not picking things up can kill or cripple your co-workers being stiff seems really appropriate.
