A little headscratcher I have about Dudley the Vagrant Engine; The book is set in either 1967 or 1968. However, Dudley is based on a GNR/LNER Class O2 that was built between 1918 and 1943 and withdrawn and scrapped between 1948 and 1963 (though, Dudley is actually No.63971, which was scrapped in 1963). So, how can Dudley be on Sodor in 1967 if his class was scrapped 4 years prior?

@@FerdinandProductions2021 Maybe in the Thomas universe, he was only one of his class left. And the book is definitely set in 1967 because Sir Charles had just purchased Bear & Oliver.
