Dudley Zoo & Castle 2023

A wander on a frosty January Saturday around Dudley Zoo and Castle in the West Midlands, UK. Take a look at the stunning remains of Dudley Castle as we wander around the grounds and head on down to the zoo to see the monkeys, giraffes, reptiles, seals, birds, lions, tigers (no bears, oh my!) and a range of other animals! The Lorikeet enclosure was a whole bunch of fun as they land all over you in an attempt to get to the nectar drink you can purchase on the way in (£1.50). I always love to see the monkeys and chimps but it also makes me really sad because they look so lost. I'm sure they'd be happier out in the wild. They do have a large outdoor enclosure, which you'll see in the video, but they were indoors during our visit as it was around 2° outside. Watch until the end to see a touching clip of a chimpanzee grooming another!♥

When we used to go there 60s 70s and 80s it was a great place, teddy grays the sweet shop were there, no longer, miss those great times always packed

I live near Dudley! I visit the zoo once a year. So far, Daseep the Sumatran tiger is my favourite animal, I had the pleasure of meeting her last year.

@TheWandererNeil especially when she lay down at the end and expected us to fuss her. She is such a friendly cat 😍 this year we're looking at a meet and greet with the two lions. There's only one female now, Asha, and a male, Keshari, arrived last year from Scotland.

I appreciate the content .nice day at the zoo. I don't remember the castle. As a kid, the animals had my attention. Got stung by a bee near the snake terrariums. Came running out like I'd been bit!😅

Yes, I would agree. I don’t go to zoos very often but, when I do, they always make me feel quite depressed. Have you been to Dudley? No living thing belongs there!

How much you paid for entering in the zoo

I think it was around £20 per adult. It’s a good, long day out though. 👍🏻
