Floodgate/stun andies need to sit through literally just 1 game in their life. These imaginary negate boards do not exist outside of your empty heads. Besides which its irrelevant as negates are simply much more healthy then floodgates. Floodgates warp the rules of the game in a way decks are not generally designed to function under. You cant play through a floodgate you can play through negates

If you want to setup the Umi board you have to hope that: 1)you can clean as much negates/destroys as possible without wasting too many resources (first duel he was saved by a lucky Harpy FD) 2) activate the field card hoping it's not going to be destroyed/removed/banished, 3) summon Karyushin hoping he is not going to eat Imperm and/or be removed, 4) you'll have no more card in your hand so you'll need to go through turn 3 with just Umi-Stealth-Karyu and if you are lucky Jellyfish. In this video we had Purrely (cancer), Yubel (best performing deck of the meta), Branded, but hey, the problem is Umi that can fully setup the board once every three matches.

At least they dont activate one Card an Go +6, puppet lock was way more unhealthy than everything what purrely ever did. Purrely was hated very Long, because every Meta relevant archetype was Hit on the banlist before purrelys release, so it was 3 months the best deck. But branded is since release of this Game everywhere. Its way to overtuned.

Branded uses 1 Card and end on way more Interruptions. Branded invented the Term Main Phase 3 lol.😂 every Meta deck on the banlist got its stuff back After some time, branded did not for a reason.

Well for one, sanctifire is floodgate turbo and a half, but second it has some insanely good cards. Branded Fusion, the best fusion card in the game. Mirrorjade probably top 2 most broken fusion ever printed. But the hatred has more to do with its game play. Which is either just total lock with santifire, infinite recovery turbo, or continually fusing your board away for their summons. Which is very obnoxious and frustrating.

I was also asking the same question but i think its cause there is no point. After you fuse into lubellion you can't do anything else sure you can attack but once it's their turn they have priority MP1 so they will make a phantom which means you cant fuse and you know from there since they have knightmare

IMO if you're going to use an engine like that in umi, might as well use runick. That's how I played it before, not only you can check/bait an ash or imperm with hugin, hugin can also be used as tribute fodder for kairyushin. If you have Sea Stealth 2, you can play the fountain and Sea stealth attack will act as it's protection

It's an UR because it's crazy strong, it can turn off half the disruptions on a broken end board just by itself and you get it for FREE by using any leftovers on your field. You're not supposed to use him on top of everything else your deck can do, it is an extra help in case that you couldn't break a board so you can possibly survive for an extra turn

First of all, Yubel sets up 1 negate. And a monster one at that. Smartest stun player. Second no one said anything about Yubel being fair or balanced, they only said Floodgates are boring, cringe, and make non-games. Every Stun and Umi game comes down solely to whether a player can clear the floodgates or not. No playing through or around them

I don't like Kairyu-Shin Floodgate Deck. Because it has multiple weakness. • Bricking by itself (Level 5) • Lose to S/T Removal, Imperm • Lose badly to Evenly Matched • Require to play another bricks that do not do anything by itself (SSA, Umi, SSA II, etc). Play the actual stun deck is more safer and consistent (y know, Fossil Dyna deck)
