No Destruction or DestIny? All the spells/trap activate in the grave and the self burn gets you to Acension range. One duel I used it and got 3 Vijams with a Karma and Dharma from the mill

A strange interaction with the cubic counter, if the monster with a cubic counter has the effect is to leave the field, it will not be negated (most of the time) so against ninjas, gladiator beats, and metaphys, cubes will struggle if you play around the counter

I've been facing a lot of Cubic decks in the carnival. Didn't really lose to any of them, though that's because I love having non-destruction removal in my decks. The duels were pretty back and forth though, and the Cubic players were actually displaying a good level of intelligence. So hats off to you guys for not being an obligatory Blue-Eyes player.

I always love this deck, but it is prone to karma cut, if the seed have been banished you have no way to bring it back to graveyard. The tech cards in the deck wont help much, I prefer lance for the protection of the seed. If you knew how the deck works, you just need to karma cut the seed. You cant make play just the 3 duza, it revolves around the seeds

The strategy is mainly to get out Buster Gundil to whack them as hard as possible while the seeds keep you alive and negate effects. It's not an amazing deck outright, but it's main strength is in how well it counters other decks.

Can someone explain to my why Gladiotor Beasts 'tag out' effects aren't negated by Cubic counters?

they are considered a cost (due to that part being before a semicolon) not the effect. So it doesn't get negated. As it is also no longer on the field, the effect resolves as it doesn't have the cubic counter on them anymore. Also the wording on the cubic counters effect on vijam just negates the effect but not it's activation. Unlike a card such as Ultimate Providence that does state that the activation is negated. It is also important for that detail when there are different hard once per turn effects depending if it's "using" them or "activating" them.

@@nucle0cide the negation in the lightsworn case and the aromage is not the activation but the effects resolution even if the effect is mandatory. In lightsworn the milling is the effect resolving and aromages effect activating with an LP gain is an activation condition. It kinda goes like this in the timing Activations Conditions met Activation-pay cost Effect resolution The gladiator beast case is that the cost (not the effect) of returning the card to the extra deck is not negated as it's not the effect resolution but the activation. As it has no cubic counter on it as it has left the field at activation, the effect resolves. As the cubic counter is still on the other cards at resolution in the other 2 cases, the effect is negated.

I know it's pretty complicated to break down so I can use another example. you have shooting star dragon and stardust dragon on your field with both having cubic counters. The opponent activates lightning vortex or any destruction spell. If you activated stardust dragons effect, the card leaves the field at activation and loses its cubic counter, so the effect would resolve and the destruction is negated. On the other hand as shooting star doesn't leave the field, the cubic counter negates the effect at resolution and would be destroyed. This could be a pretty good duel quiz if you think if it.

You can use Kuriboh event ticket by lvling it up or just normal UR tickets or you can wait for Aigami Raid Duel event as it guarantees you loads of Cubic Ascensions
