Because ancient gear the going 2nd deck can't be interrupted is not good enough, so Tenpai is the answer. But Tenpai turns out too good, so I doubt there will be go 2nd deck that is as good anymore.

I doubt they hit yubel again especially with them getting some support previous pack but never really know. I don't think anything truly overpowered right now. But alot can change fast. Gimmick puppy ftk is annoying and branded is working its way back to being a bit to much. But I'm admittedly bias towards branded because I not a fan of it

Idk why everyone hates tenpai it's actually fun to watch tenpai do tenpai things. Id rather that than watch yubel negate 10x or watch sefk summon their whole deck EVERY DAMN TURN including their opponents then perform lethal off of 2 bodies. Going second is a MYTH unless it's tenpai so watching a board get slowly less and less disruptive is amazing especially when it's yubel lol.

Idk but i like games, where … how should i say it? … oh yeah, my Opponent and i play together and the one with more skill wins the game. Sounds wierd right? Fieldspells, which make you in mainphase unaffected together with a monster which says „you cant do shit in the BP“ arent that … interactive. On the other side decks which are incredible overpowered going first arent fun too (SE …). So no, we dont have to decide if we want get ftk‘d oder otk‘d by extreme toxic decks, we can hate both…

In a normal tournament setting, tenpai isnt that great as players a better prepared for it. For duelist cups, it’s still a menace as there is generally more players in the event and is harder to prepare for them.

How is a duelist cup any different then when tenpai was at full power in the tcg? Maybe because there was still less tenpai players then sefk players in both of those situations? Maybe there was many other decks that people played more of in the duelist cup then tenpai? So if you played a deck around tenpai and went up against VV, sefk, ritual beast, the list goes on you would likely be in a worst spot. I would rather face tenpai every single game for the next 3 years then sit through sefk comboing for 20 mins setting up a 11 disruption board off eating 2 hand traps and having called by for maxxc. Tenpai rarely tops anything pure, it rarely even gets top 8 in anything tcg or master duel even at full power. Everyone loves their decks that set up all of this interruption of a 15 min combo that is not fun for a going second player and they hate it when that disruption gets turned off and they get a taste of their own medicine 🤷🏽‍♂️.

How about you play a good engine with some tech thats good when going 2nd? There's a video in this channel with some dude in the meta weekly finals playing R-ACE with some striker cards. He played through a full snake eyes field AND handtraps, almost 10 disruptions and OTK'd. That's peak yugioh. If you don't see that and instead think LS + chain Droplet is interesting, I don't know that to tell you. Dedicated going 2nd decks when good always devolve in boring games. Even more so when it's the mirror match or the going 2nd deck has to first. It was true when everyone was playing Numeron in the past and it's true when everyone started playing Tenpai.

@@screwyt2358 People don't hate Tenpai for going second. They hate it because their main cards shut down all interaction in the Main and Battle phases, meaning no actual Yugioh is played. It would be more interesting to have a going second deck that powered through big end boards with exceptional gas when going second. And in theory with all that back and forth the better player could show their skills. Instead we got something that just says "no, um you can't do anything but watch me kill you." or "Oh I uh didn't draw my immunity cards so you just win." Neither scenario is fun for either player if they are anything but a beginner

The hate about Tenpai for me is exaggerated. When i hear "interactivity", Puppet field is way stronger, you also got Branded Lost, so it's not new. The reign of SEFK was about at least a whole year but i don't see as much hate as for Tenpai and everybody know how it's hard to compete with SEFK gas and endboard when they are launched. We need more viable going second deck that doesn't depend that much on Handtraps or boardbreaker, Here's the real problem, not Tenpai.

SEFK is a good deck that will get stopped on turn 1 if you ash Spoils or imperm SE Ash. tempai cannot be interacted with and they have 14 thousand ways of lethaling you

I understand the Field fear, but it's people's skill issue for me, just a spell card with no anti destruction protection like some other Field or SEFK with their continous spell and destroying protect effect. Tenpai play 2nd don't tell me with so many strong endboard t1 you don't have a way to deal with just 1 spell card that is a one of and that they can't recycle back ? With so many cards in the game to deal with ? And Tenpai have no negates or Floodgates in their deck ? Even Rogue Deck came back because Tenpai is strong but very fragile.

Never gonna root for Tenpai. It was never good - it only worked with a million hand traps propping it up, it only had one basic combo line, it was a blatant cash grab by Konami who had no intention of keeping it relevant after the pack expired, and it was a straight up ftk with no ability to do anything else or work with any other deck. Tenpai was a deck for bullies who just wanted cheap, easy wins and to feel like they could actually "play and build decks and stuff," but who had zero interest in actual dueling and zero skills or tactical ability. Happy to watch the fall of the cheesiest crutch deck ever released, schadenfreude Tenpai fans, look it up. 🤣

YuGiOh players are overreacting to the banlist as usual. Tenpai is hit harder in TCG and it's still topping there with the help of other engines. There's no reason to think you can't replace the lost cards with other engines on MD in the same way. Give it a few weeks and we'll be seeing plenty of Tenpai again.
