57:21 This actually happened to me in a real life match. My opponent declared End Phase after activating Runic cards and I informed him that his next battle phase was skipped then. Then he told me even if you declare End Phase, it still counts as you skipping your battle phase for that turn. Fortunately it wasn’t a legit tournament but he played it off like it was how the rules worked.

Honestly I don’t get why either of these decks are rated so high. Cent ends on 1-2 disruption and whatever handtraps/Bystials they draw. VV ends on 2-4 and is pretty fragile and bricky.

@@FrostReave best of one summon big recursive negate that literally can't be outed once it hits the field. + decent backrow. But really the blazar is a daunting 4k/4k that ends the battle phase, negates anything including summons, doing all this for cost. Most decks can't exactly run over it and they can summon 2 of them if they open the nuts in just 2 turns. They also play around Maxx C which is really all you need to do for a deck to be good in Master duel.

Seeing the mathmech player lose 2 game back to back because they had final sigma in their ED instead of an actual boss monster like singularity is painful. They had 2 god hands back to back but did nothing with them because they had nothing to make with them. IP and SP would've also been amazing. Heatsouls is bad in mathmech IMO. during the enemy turn it's like 1/3 of drawing a disruption at best unless you're running all the veilers and some more of the girls and drolls. IP is so much better in 99% of situations and can be made with just the one card combo. Also, they missed lethal game one with jammer into accescode.

I like the Unchained cards paired with some generic fiend support mixed in. I lose a ton though when every monster effect is negated or Kashkira removes my cards from play or Tearlements sets up a generic negation board or the Yubel fusion cancels out my effects or sarcophagus & horus swarms at little cost.....so there are a ton of much stronger decks that make my beloved Unchained less potent by comparison.

Pure Unchained did better than Yubel this tournament. Were there really that many people relying on Iblee Locking for their wins? Or maybe it's just the inherent brickiness of running a bunch of high level monsters, though that ridiculous Contact Fusion is supposed to make up for that, though without 3 copies it does lower the consistency of making their standard end board or even rebuilding from it.

In bo1 it’s even more insane because you either choose to go second or a lot more often than night your opponent makes you go second and they don’t even get the chance to react and make you go first. Also with Maxx C Tenpai is going to be absolutely diabolical.

Tenpai is a very uninteractive deck that encourages/forces floodgate spams which is toxic asf. And they are introducing 2 shifter decks at the same time. Konami doesn’t know what fun is if it smacked them in the back of the head.

Because people would rather spam hand traps with all their tech card space than play a few board breakers, which leaves them wide open to this nonsense. Even the Stun players are willing to run a few Board Breakers since most people are going to have a hard time rebuilding a board after putting up a summon lock.

@@MarioLopez-xs3vc well ye that's cause most most board breakers are either: bricks turn 1 (and going turn 1 is crucial for most decks), duster and storm are both limited to 1 so you're unlikely to just "draw the out", and you really only see board breakers on turn 2 decks because most decks want to establish a strong board on turn 1, not try to win turn 2. Also stun runs solemn so then your one-of gets negated.

@@MarioLopez-xs3vcbro you don’t know what you are talking about. First of all most board breakers are of lower value in 80% of matchups. Why would people main a lot of cards that are only high value in 20% of matchups. Furthermore they are most often bricks going first so they hurt consistency and potency hard. But if you don’t have a lot the chances are you will not draw them. But you can just search them right? Wrong. Cause the decks you need them against generally don’t activate monster effects early enough to trigger thrust. Honestly think *before* you speak
