Their new pricing model is an absolute scam. Even with 20% off, youd have to be on drugs to buy it. Monitors are cheap now. I will be spending my 80 or so bucks on another actual monitor instead of supporting this bs. Duet can choke on a sausage.

Interesting. So if I get one of these new windows based eg Aya Neo Air Lite, and connect it by USBC to a 2nd gen ipad pro using Duet Display, I would be able to use the Ipad as a 'big' display for the handheld? It'd be internet browsing and some Microsoft docs editing.

Not sure about Aya Neo Air Lite, but in general if you have a Windows PC or Mac, you can use your iPad as a second monitor. As I've just found out, it seems that Duet has removed the one time purchase options and that the starter plan is now Air

This is a good review, so thanks for that. However, I am a bit concerned about the app. ""Substantial reduction in latency for users outside of North America" @0:33. That, along with a subscription model are red flags that a lot of system information is always being sent back to their home office. No thanks.

I don't think that there is any reason why one can't use the iPad while charging it. I've been doing it with iPad and iPhone with no issue. Where does your fear come from?

I downloaded Duet yesterday and I only payed the 20 dollars one-time fee for downloading the app from Apple store. If you connect the iPad to the PC by cable it works normally. However, to use it remotely (without cables), then the Duet Air subscription is needed.
