Love me some Cooper but Evans is winning me over as my favorite player on the team.

Like that song goes, "He already won me over." Evans is very good, but I believe he needs another year or 2 to be great.

@@t-bone1898I think he’ll be a great compliment to the Boozer twins. I don’t know if Proctor will be back or if Foster will transfer but if Slim comes back I like next year’s squad.

Being at this game was so much fun. Was one of the ones who made the journey from Maine, and it was amazing! That place got so loud after Coopers Technical, the booing lasted for awhile, and then when he followed up with the 3 pointer and then BC called timeout, the cheers went on for minutes. So much fun!

Grateful Sion has been starting. Caleb just doesn’t seem ready, could be a mental thing. Cooper has gotten better and will continue which is crazy considering his drive. Evans is him and needs 5 more minutes on the floor. He’s almost shooting 50% from 3. His defense has gotten a lot better. Year 2 will be very scary. Pat looks good.. we have a title contender. Bigs, wings, steady PG play.. connectors.. willing defense.. #6

@Consultant_julius it seems Caleb is going thru something... he played better last season b4 the injury.. he is much better and stronger defensively... I saw him early on and even last year very explosive attacking the basket I'm seeing little of that. And his perimeter shooting it seems like he's lacking confidence in himself... he needs to be low stance knees bent hands out and ready to shoot.. Isaiah is always in that ready position.. all our perimeters need to be.... hopefully he'll get. Thru those whoa's

@@slick11o54I’m feeling he will come along before acc tourney time and if so, there’s no reason we don’t make it to the championship game in March with a confident Caleb, more experienced Pat and Isiah

Kon's offense inconsistency concerns me.. He disappeared yesterday again and he's a better player then that... he's got to be better in other ways when his jumpshot isn't on... there's other ways he can contribute.. other wise he's invisible on both sides of the floor... Mason was Awesome yesterday. Pretty much shut down their Biggs despite being 5. 6 inches smaller. His position defense was great.. that was a Huge difference ..

You’re not paying the right kind of attention. Sorry. Kon has an excellent overall floor game. Great creator, solid defender.

@@BobbySquirrelly-fi7wo ok he's talking about KON YESTERDAY, not his overall game. We all know what he can do, but he was literally invisible yesterday. HE played 26 minutes and had 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 turnover and ZERO blocks, steals and points. We know he can contribute more, but he didn't do anything YESTERDAY if you paying "the right kind of attention" lol

Gotta understand the game. Yesterday was his worst game of the year as a freshman I might add. He caught a lot of teams off guard but now there's film and a scouting report on him. Boston College crowded him and played physical. On defense they attacked him as well. Now it's up to him to adjust his game accordingly. It's also coaching that has to adjust because I guarantee the league will think they have a blueprint. But as u saw yesterday even though he didn't score others stepped up and took the load off. That's what I like about this team. Also think it's a blessing in disguise that Malik is out because we get the other freshman Pat playing time. He's gotten a little bit better each time out since. It's only going to make Duke deeper down the stretch which has been a constant weakness for years and years.

Kon's gravity slashing and playmaking is opening up stuff for us even when hes not getting stats. And hes an excellent defender. Not sure how you can say hes invisible on that end unless youre only looking at steals and blocks. Our team has too many good players for every guy to get stats every game, its been Proctor recently, it was Kon today

It's hard to come to the realization that we have no other choice but to play Foster a few minutes a game to give Sion James and Proctor a rest... Problem is he's a complete liability. Scheyer needs to find more lineup combos with Evans. For example at the end of the first half the Proctor/ then James, Kon, Evans, Coop, Gillis small ball lineup Scheyer... We need more rotations like that... somehow less Foster.

Evans defensive improvement has been awesome. If he could do more than run off screens and shoot threes offensively he'd play more. He's still picking up his dribble too early on drives, and avoiding contact and taking rushed layups that miss badly because he's afraid of it. If he can fix this he'll be a scary player with his athleticism

@marshall8305 I agree some what on most of what u said I've been saying this about him since November about his defense and people screaming bloody murder for my comments and. Scheyer not playing him. Lol.itena process 4 freshman some pick it up immediately.. some dont.. He's still a long wayy to go Defensively, but has made massive improvements in position defense.. Just shooting 3s and running off screens is good but now he just can't jack a shot up because they passed it. He's gotta be smarter.. they have him on tue scouting report now. So they are gonna come flying at him. He needs to pump fake and drive.. even pumpfake in the lane and a hook or an up and under if he can't kick it out.. he's quick. And I know he can handle the ball. But physicality is gonna be crucial in his development He just needs to keep working as he has been, be physically with the ball in his hands and if he drives which he needs to incorporate that he needs to be solid and be strong with the ball..Mason has really been awesome for us and is really starting to shine. Love Kon and is a beast physically, but I can sew Mason starting and taking his spot more experienced, confident, just as physical, has been more a threat on offense as of late..it was very impressive how Mason did an Awesome job guarding BC Big man they both had. 5. 6 inches on him , but his.position Defense and how to use his body was a clinic to see. He was a BIG difference maker and shutting down the inside scoring.. Purdue did a great job with him Defensively, and handling physicality.. but I could see Mason starting for Kon 3 veteran starters with Ty, and Sion. Scheyer has lots of options. Hopefully. Kon and Caleb shake off some of these Whoas ..and one more thing....Damn I miss Maliq. 🤣🤣🤣
@marshall8305
@marshall8305 12 күн бұрын
@@slick11o54 Our biggest weakness right now is our lack of post defense because Maliq is gone. Gillis wont start over Kon because Kon is a better shooter (shoots more threes per 100 possessions and shoots a higher %) and Kon can both attack the rim and run the p&r while Gillis is only a spot up guy. Slim is trying to be smarter but from what I'm seeing he's scared of that physicality, picking up his dribble to early, and also making strange decisions on when to shoot vs. drive closeouts
