Duke vs. North Carolina Game Highlights | 2023-24 ACC Men’s Basketball

In their first meeting of the season, the #3 Tar Heels took down the #7 Blue Devils, 93-84. North Carolina used its defense to spark the fast break and get easy buckets. UNC forced 11 Duke turnovers and scored 19 points off of those turnovers. Armando Bacot scored a game-high 25, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out five assists. Playing in his first UNC-Duke game, Harrison Ingram scored 21 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and had four steals. RJ Davis added 17 points and five assists. For Duke, Jared McCain led the way with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Kyle Filipowski added 22 points and Jeremy Roach scored 20 points.

Cadeau is just fine. He should still be in high school right now but he is seriously helping a national powerhouse play some outstanding basketball this year. He will become a better shooter this off season. Right now he's averaging about 10 points a game which I think is good for his freshman year.

If that's the case they should have easily beaten Georgia Tech then and btw that loss was on the road, not five consecutive road wins! They (Carolina) we're the better team tonight hands down with the effort they brought, but any team could have beaten Duke with their lack of defense tonight! Appalling effort on the defensive end and that's being respectful JS! But it has nothing to do with the Kentucky loss! Carolina has been a by far better team this season PERIOD and it starts with RJ Davis! Without Caleb Love we r finally seeing Davis flourish and his patience having paid off! Him being able to open up and show us his complete repertoire has made Carolina a more complete team on both ends regardless of a couple losses here and there! A fire never needed stoked man! They've been a better team this year plain and simple and Love's exit was a blessing! They've benefited greatly with Davis being able to bust out because he's a team player

It's not that at all (regarding a big man)! It's the lack of consistent defense that has been our Achilles for the last handful of seasons, going back to at least 2016! The emphasis Duke has placed on defense gradually went in decline, which results in the effort you saw tonight! A few lapses here and there on contesting shots happens, but when it's a constant throughout the game, it presents cause for concern! Defense isn't a one person or position part of basketball, it's a total team aspect JS! So don't place blame on what you perceive to be lack of a center! That's no excuse for defensive focus! And I very well remember the days when defense was never for one minute a worry!

Carolina was playing solid defense and wasn't having to get too aggressive this getting themselves in fouls trouble. And in the 2nd half, Duke at one point had just 3 fouls to Carolina's 6... within 5 minutes Duke was at 7 fouls to Carolina's 6.... Duke played sloppy, and it cost them... end of story. If anything y'all got HELPED in that department, cause Filipowski should've been fouled out of the game if not for missed calls.
