My girlfriend rides one of those. It is her first bike. She does have two complaints and I'm wondering if you experienced it too? I'm not a Harley fan and am riding a BMW S1000R so I can't really tell as all Harleys feel the same to me. Firstly she says the brakes are really bad, especially the rear brake. We went for an advanced rider course and when we had to do the emergency brake inside a "box", she just screamed straight thru. Secondly she's complaining about the spongy feel of the gears when hot. Because it has no gear indicator she battles to find first. My bike has a definite bottom-out feel in first but the Street has probably another gear's worth of spongy travel in first. Kind of disconcerting at the lights with Mr Grumpy behind you.
@DukeOfDC8 жыл бұрын
+Henry Edwards Yeah, the brakes weren't anything to write home about, but not too too bad. I'm spoiled on my Tuono, so I immediately felt the difference, but that's what you get on an entry level Harley I suppose.

if you're new rider, this should NOT be your first bike. no ABS, no Traction Control, no driver modes like Rain...First panic braking, you'll be done. Harley is a life style so, we all get. It's time for Harley to grow up and catch up with Todays Technology.
@DukeOfDC8 жыл бұрын
+Becker Inal Do you really need those rider aids on your first bike? I 100% agree that having ABS is a life saving feature on motorcycles, and as a new rider you're more vulnerable to panic braking that could cause a lock-up, but this Harley is still a fantastic first bike. I think the dependencies on rider aids have grown to an uncomfortable level, and the skills obtained by newer riders is diminishing because of it. People should learn the basics, know how to emergency brake on any bike, and be able to buy something that isn't an IPad on wheels. Yes, I realize I have a bike that has all of these rider aids, but my FZ6 didn't have any of this, and I adored that bike.
@hughtuller63448 жыл бұрын
I have to agree with Duke. I and hundreds of thousands of people have learned to ride bikes with out all the gadgets. Indeed relying on those is a crutch. Learn the basics first, then add the technology if you want. Demanding Harley join the 21st century? W hy should they? They sell tons of bikes to folks who don't want those gadgets. They are doing fine.

D'Kendric Allison Hmmmm I'm not sure why it wouldn't play for you. Let me see if other people are having a similar problem and get this sorted out! Sorry for the hiccup!

Very Bad Engine and cranking quality and design (Many of HOG commented) . Router and starter gears and Clutch Quality are not good .... the engine crank Casing is a failed Design.... I got a serious problem on 1200 KM run, The Motorcycle still brand new Street 750 2015 Model but not operating ... I went to the dealer where the warranty already finished 4 months back, They gave the attached report and said I have to change everything - Report saying: ((( -Bike not start -Bike cutoff in middle of the road - service of 1600 KM *Bike final report 1- Engine Crankcase is broken, 2- Starter motor is broken 3-Router is damaged ))) Harley Davidson Dealer workshop - Kuwait And the dealer workshop said - I have to change the full set - Engine and Gearbox) No Maintenance price is offered. I am 1 year rider and I never loaded the bike ... The bike traveled only 1200 KM, At HD workshop I saw 3 Motorcycles of Same model with the same and different problems. No proper feedback from HD hiding from the street 750 owners the problems of the 2015/2016 models. No feedback no proper maintenance but offering new bike of another model (2017/2018 - not within the budget) They can compensate 1500 USD only if you choose another bike at a price of 17,000$ as minimum which will be the down payment of your next new bike only from the same dealer. I Like HD but I got a hard stress for the first bike I used. I will take sometime to make my decision so I will choose the correct HD model which will fit my requirement but not from the dealer I suggest HD to compensate all the owners of Street 750 who have the same issues and defaults ... Actually I lost about 3700 USD on this bike and it is parking beside th building waiting someone to buy it for spare parts or scrap. Thanks for all here and for your support.

Should have bought a Sportster. Most reliable bike they have.
