Tigermantcb 1977 Same here! There was no Netflix, iTunes or Disney plus back in those days. I was lucky however. Why? Due to my strong interest in how movies were made, at times my Parents would let me stay up late for The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson even on a school night if there was somebody special on I wanted to see. This was of coarse before we got our vcr so I could program & record the tonight show while I slept.

I was very young, maybe five years old, when that was going. My brother and I were more than a little scared of the Hulk, but we persevered to watch the fun-loving, car-jumping Dukes at nine o'clock. By the time Dallas came on at ten, it was time to go to bed, and Dallas was not of interest to little kids, anyway.

I was two years old when the Dukes of Hazzard premiered. My fondest memory is sitting on our couch and my dad sat with me, we would watch the show every Friday night. I always looked forward to Friday's nights and watching my favorite show. Interesting enough my dad had an old 68 Dodge Cornet, and I had blonde hair until I was 5. So, naturally I thought my dad's car was the General Lee. In fact, I would only got in the car through the windows. A few years ago I purchased all the DVD seasons and lately when I get sad missing my dad who passed away last year I put in the DVDs to watch the show. Mr. Schneider thank you and all the cast for being a part of my childhood. It was indeed a show for the family and I will always cherish it.

We would get out of school on Friday, do our homework before our parents got home, pack (if we didn't the night before), and get there in time for supper, eat with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. It's always been a dream car because of the Dukes of Hazard.. I even had the Lunch Box. But really, I'm not here for me. B is for Build recently had their Eleanor mustang build, confiscated by the creators of Gone in 60 Seconds... And I just do not get it... With all the General Lees, with all the Knight Riders, and all the Back to the Futures... That if someone built a General Lee, and and Dukes of Hazard just "took it from them"... ? I understand you are not a lawyer, but I am wondering what YOUR thoughts are, as the General is one of the most desired movie cars ever produced. That perhaps, it might even be cool to see you reach out to Chris, who did work hard for this car... And shed some light on what happened... I couldn't tell you Hannibal Smiths real name, or who played the Hulk... But I will never forget John Schneider. I mean that. Friday Night, right after Hulk, 8pm, 9pm, I was home. 7pm... I was home... I was about 7 years old. It's funny how you can do something, and it stays with people for life.

When a song comes on that takes you back to the first time you heard it and you feel that same emotion as in the past that my friend is heart and soul. Same with TV I remember when I would have tears or the biggest smile on my face. Absolutely nothing today compares in TV or radio as those wonderful yrs. TV had a moral behind the show with down to earth fun and reality mixed together. I really miss those years. They were great and innocence was kept. God bless John

John, thank you for all the entertainment you gave us. There has been nothing on TV in such a long time which you genuinely look forward to sitting down and watching with the whole family (because it’s suitable for all ages) and leaves you feeling so good after you’ve watched it. I hope it’s not lost on you the, the affect you and all the other people involved in Dukes had on people’s lives all around the world (somehow, I’m pretty confident with you that it won’t be!) #01

What a great analogy John... Love your conservative values! I was 8 in January of '79 and watched The Dukes Of Hazzard religiously as did all my buddies in school. Thank You for adding to my great childhood!

I remember as a kid watching my favorite show, “Dukes,” and then my parents would let me watch the theme song to Dallas (because that intro was awesome), and then it was time for me to go to bed because I couldn’t watch Dallas. The way you just explained it was exactly how it was for my family. I was born in 1977. Thanks for the memories!

Hey John, I am still watching "THE DUKES" on you tube, and, here in the UK, we have a network called, "FORCES TV" doing re-runs. I am a retired vet, The Royal Navy, and a retired copper in The Met. Police, Scotland Yard area, I almost died making an arrest, I had a rupture, I lost so much blood. My life story is is so long. I was a multi-instrumentalist in the navy band, this is why I am in contact with, and watch the United States Navy Band.....FANTASTIC!! I recorded over 8 albums, and 3 double albums, my radio show had...OVER...FIFTEEN MILLION...PROVEN LISTENERS. I had superstars doing "Phone In's" I will not bore you anymore with my story......Just want to thank you all for MY FAVE. TV SHOW!

John you’re so awesome thank you for your narrative and thank you for your history lesson and thank you for being who you are, you’re a wonderful person and your wisdom and understanding is blessed🙏🏻 I too wish we could go back to rotary telephones and three network programming and just live in a little bit of old school and you’re right! You did have the best lineup, never missed a gig...🙏🏻👍

I grew up watching The Dukes of Hazzard and we used to play a version at recess on the playground, lol (I’m almost 50 😳). All the girls wanted to be Daisy, but I was always to be Bo Duke! Love you John! So glad you have this channel. Can’t wait to binge watch all your past videos. ❤️❤️❤️

I remember being side by side with my brother on the floor in front of the Television ready to watch the new episode of the Dukes of Hazzard and not caring a thing about what came afterward. The Fall Guy stands out in my memories too, as well as the A-Team. Thanks for the great memories John Schneider, and I love your song Country Girls as well!

John, you and Tom were responsible for me eating all the veggies at dinner. If I didnt finish I couldn't watch the duke boys. I remember sitting in my pjs watching that tv and listening more intensely then I ever did at school. You my friend couldn't have said anything more true with the innocence statement. I agree with you 100%. God bless you, your family, the rest of the cast that are still with us and those that are not. Your show was part of a fantastic childhood.

4:43 It was Falcon Crest. Knots Landing was on Thursday night. I was 18 in '78 and always watched Dukes & Dallas. I started watching Falcon Crest because it was on after Dallas and I got hooked on it too. (Back then, without remotes, it required getting up and "changing the channel" manually-which made that block of shows so much more critical than today!)

#MalibuBeachRVPark been there! Oh, I'm in envy right now, I'll admit it. :) You are in a very special place right now both physically and Meta-Physically!! John, you are so wise...love watching your videos!!!! I loved only having 3 networks! It meant you had to make a top quality show in order to be on!! and let me repeat what someone else said.. Thank you for the level of access, contact and content you let your fans have. You are amazing!

I still remember when I was 8 or 9 yrs old my Dad said come on were going to watch this new show called The Dukes of Hazzard! I believe it on a Friday night and after the first episode I couldn't wait till the next! Forward to today and still the best show of all time! They may take the dukes off tv but they can't take it from me because I have the total 7 seasons on dvd! Tks John we love ya!

Thank you Sir,for what you brought to television back then, and what you are doing now. I wouldn't trade the three network world that I grew up in,for what we have today. I think it's a travesty the way children are exposed to anything and everything these days. When you lose that innocents, you can't ever go back.Thank you Mr Schneider.

Wow! Thank you for the education on how things worked back then. All makes sense now: Kids, Family, then send the kids to bed. I loved the CBS Friday & NBC Thursday nights from 10 to 18 years old (1978 to 1986), never understood why. Now I know.

It's amazing how great a memory some folks have. I can't remember any of what was showing on any time slot especially that long ago - what came on before or after Dukes of Hazzard or other networks shows that run parallel to Dukes of Hazzard. I agree! 3 networks made life so much simpler (easier).

I’ve been a fan as long as I can remember. Anyone that knows me very well knows that I’m a big fan of the Dukes. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting you several times. Once as a kid in 1987 when you came to our county fair in Jonesboro Arkansas and a few times as an adult at Dukesfest 05 and 06 and when you were at Dukes days in Little Rock Arkansas. I think it’s great that you are answering questions for the fans. As I’m sure you know It’s kinda difficult to to ask you a lot questions when we meet you briefly at different events. Anyway. Thank you for being a big part of my childhood hood and entertaining me and my family for 40 plus years now. I’ll quit rambling and get to the questions now. I’ve always wondered what brand of boots you and Tom wore on the show? What kind of bows y’all were shooting? Who was the better shot? What brand of pocket knives did you and Tom carry on the show and were they real? Were you able to keep anything from the show when it was over? Props or your Bo Duke wardrobe? Do you know if the other cast members got to keep anything and what it was? Did you and Tom always climb through the windows of the General when the cameras weren’t rolling? Do you remember the first time someone recognized you as Bo Duke? What kind of cigars Boss Hogg smoked? I’ll stop there. I’m sure I can come up with tons of other questions. Again thank you for all the years of entertainment and for taking time for us fans.

I remember it as Falcon Crest, and I never missed a Friday night.....loved all three shows, and never once thought of "Dukes" nothing more than pure fun entertainment. Hoping they never take the show off the air in syndication. The General Lee jumps are legend!
