The soul of country is intrinsically non-leftist. Leftist country music is like a rich trust fund kid who had the life of riley and not a care in the world, never even worked a job in his life, and is now 25 years old driving a Lamborghini to his "job" as a board "consultant" for his dad's Fortune 500 company deciding to moonlight as a Blues musician: he might be an accomplished guitarist or whatever; but there is no soul in the music.

I have grown up on a lot of the big Country music legends that have built the Country Music genre from the ground up like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Charlie Pride, Glen Campbell and Tammy Wynette. And to be 100% honest, I do not feel that any of them including Dolly Parton and Barbara Mandrell and Crystal Gayle would have any issues whatsoever about Beyonce crossing over into Country Music. I mean Kid Rock, Jewel, and Darius Rucker have all done it and they all had established music careers in pop and rock music. The Country Music genre is much, much more multicultural and more left winged than people like to admit. What is going on with Beyonce has been happening for decades and it just did not suddenly start with one of the biggest music artists in the world either. Beyonce herself was born and raised in the south just like both of her parents and was exposed to all sorts of music styles growing up including Country music. Just because she built her music career on pop and R&B music, certainly does not mean that she is not country either. Country Music is for all people from all walks of life, no matter if they are right winged or left winged and it does not matter the color of their skin or who they choose to love either for Country Music is for all.

Everyone with half of a brain understands that she wants Taylor's spot and it has begun to make a lot of people think that her doing this is a way for her to get the AOTY award that she so desperately wants. I've read where a lot of country music stations have flat out refused to play her "Country" songs and I don't blame them. She's overly entitled and they probably feel like she's trying to block other upcoming Country music artist who are actually putting in the work to be there. I honestly believe she lost a lot of her fans when her husband made that ridiculous racist laced speech in front of the same people who made it possible for her to be the MOST Grammy awarded artist in history with 32 Grammy's. More than Michael Jackson, more than Janet Jackson and more than Prince. pause & think about that... The audacity of some people. 😮 That doesn't make sense, but when you worship the Devil, he'll make sure that you have anything you want, but your soul will be destroyed in the process...her & her husband are living proof of that. These people are NOT Royalty, we just happen to live in a warped society where people put Celebs on pedestals and bow down to them like their God.

Not a Beyonce fan, I just don't like her music. If she wants to do country songs good for her. Music doesn't belong to any one group of people. It is for everyone to create, explore, perform, and enjoy. As for the Duke Brother, well, he seems to have gone off the rails a bit since his wife passed on. Maybe he was always a jerk and we just didn't see it as much? Not sure. But if a no talent washed up tv actor can claim to make country music then a real singer doing the same should have no issues.

The gatekeeping is so silly. First of all, she's black so she has every right to try every form of American music considering blacks were the ones who created most of it. Secondly, I heard those songs, they are wonderful. That doesn't mean everyone's going to like them. They definitely are different flavor of country but how many times have we heard rap country or pop country rock country by artist no one says a thing. Now it's a problem?
