Actually it’s also a rebirth. Remember how he said how that Nomu was another “him” in terms of his mentality and bloodlust for power. Endeavor at this time wants to change, but to do that, he has burn the past and become someone better for himself and for his family

Yeah. I see Endeavour get pretty much hate from 70% of the fanbase, prior to season 5. I mean, he was a shit dad yeah, but as a hero you can't say he's awesome. He's one of the few heroes who acknowledges everyone. Everyone. Doesn't matter hero or villain, if you get his attention you will get his respect. And as for him pushing his own son to become greater than All Might, that started when he himself was limited by his own fire powers. He knew that going supernova will detoriate his body, so he wanted his children to have the ice factor to cool their bodies down rapidly. In case they ever picked up his moves and they didn't have an ice quirk, they will burn themselves to death. Oh wait, Touya already did.

There are many heroes that acknowledges everyone, Hawks, Deku, All Might, Bakugo, Todoroki etc. Any heroes that get hated on whether it be through abuse, trauma, murder, violence would be much more appreciated if they are written well, Bakugou was a shitty character at first, but he became one of the most loved characters to date.

But almost no unanticipated death of some main character on the hero side that we're significantly attached to, compared to the amount of unrealistic death dodging they do a lot of times. Nighteye's death was one of those , though i felt it started slowly getting darker from season 3.

@@humanman9920 Yeah that's my issue. They go to crazy lengths to keep characters alive even when they have no reason to. They don't even allow cannon fodder deaths, every incident has a reported zero civillian casualties. Ingenium and Best Jeanist are the biggest examples, no plot reason to keep them alive and would've made the villains look far more threatening, not to mention they bait us by literally showing the lights fade from Jeanist's eyes, yet they survive. Could have also killed off Thirteen and the Pussy cat girl, seriously why would they keep her alive after taking her quirk. That's my problem with My Hero Academia, the stakes never seem real.

@@cameronjosephvideos5942 I get your point but deaths aren't the only way of showing consequences,in addition to that the deaths of all the characters you've mentionned wouldn't have added anything to the plot or the series besides making the villains look more threatening (which is already shown multiple Times by many other ways)and personaly I don't need that to feel that the main cast is in danger,but I agree that sometimes it can be really annoying

@@hanzo1365 Maybe, in a drama series, or rom com. But the whole premise of the show is about being a hero, about saving people, you need to show the consequences of what happens when they fail and they need to be a bit more permanent than one student gets kidnapped for a day.

Endeavor is not a total monster. His quest to surpass All Might became all consuming, to the point where he developed tunnel vision. However I do think he had some level of awareness to what he was doing and did regularly send his wife flowers, even if he wasn't allowed to see her. After his goal was permanently taken away from him he stopped reassessed his life. He is aware his has done a lot of damage to his family but doesn't know how to fix it.

Hawks said it himself, no one worked than him to be number one. You can't be the best at anything unless you sacrifice something. He realized his weakness, so he'd rather have an offspring that was better suited than himself to be the number one. In my opinion, Endevour would not have had a family if that weakness he had was so big.

This is one of my favorite episodes. This and the last episode are the start of Endeavor being my favorite character, he shows clear as day for all to see that he’s not all talk, that he’s willing to destroy himself and do whatever he can to be the best hero and father he can be. Never would I have thought I’d cry over Endeavor before I saw this episode the first time.

Endeavor still standing with the fist raised is one of the most powerful scenes of season 4. It cemented his role as number 1 and the start of his redemption arc

One bit I WISH they'd kept in from the manga here is those two silly "sidekick" types we saw early on use their Quirks to Slow Endeavors fall after the big blast: just to show that it's always important to have other heroes around, even if they're not on the same level...

I agree with you so much. This is for me, the best episode of 4th season. Mirio, Deku vs Overhaul was fire and all, but It's expected, the villain is built up for like 10/11 episodes. This episode not is just incredible, but came out of nowhere. It's insane. But I still prefer Deku vs Muscular and All Might vs All For One, I have such a soft spot in my heart for those two and don't even know how...

My feelings on Endeavor continue to be extremely mixed to this day. I'd be lying if I said he didn't seem at least a little sorry for what he's done, but even then, he hasn't really proven anything. To me at least. At the very least, he earned this win. And he earned that new scar on his eye.

It's interesting how most reactors were also, "C'mon Shoto! Get over there and help your dad!". Except Shoto doesnt even really like his dad to say the least for one thing. The other is this isn't like Marvel stuff where nearly every hero is located out of New York (or maybe Tokyo in Japan's case). I think Hawks is located in northern Japan while UA is probably in central Japan, a few hours away traveling by most vehicles. Pretty sure each of these Black Nomu's was created for the purpose of taking out All Might, originally at least. Do what Captain Yami always says Endeavor and surpass your limits! This Ep. was the true starting point for Endeavor's redemption arc.

It is interesting to see endeavors flames, he is immune to heat except it drains his efforts. This is why he can have a flame beard. However too much heat makes him unable to move without something pushing him, more flame or (in this case) added feathers.

I forever choose to believe that Endeavor pulled a Rock Lee at the end and stood up despite being unconscious, I mean his head was bowed as if limp like the rest of his body slouched over, eyes hidden so they're probably closed (well, the one remaining was closed) and his fires had totally burned out. It reminded me of how Rock Lee stood up to keep fighting Gaara but his arm was limp and his leg was barely holding him up, he was shaking and still out cold with his eyes barely open, and despite that still holding his taijutsu opening stance, like Endeavor holding up his right fist in triumph to give people hope as opposed to Toshinori raising his left as his final heroic act as All Might after expending the last embers of One for All. The symbolism was all really cool, Enji burning up his past self and being reborn from the ashes of the High End Nomu (you are _me, from the past,_ or another future) like a Phoenix. Epic.

The fact duk doesn’t understand how much All Might was a pillar in society shows in his comments on the people panicking. Calling them “degenerates” when they’re just scared civilians who just saw they’re best hope after All Might’s retirement get taken down, and then the thing that did it to him come after them. It’s not about the fact that Endeavor is fighting for them, it’s about the fact that he can’t live up to what All Might was .

To a hero, life is extremely valuable cheaply killing off characters diminishes that. They are also highlighting the amazing accomplishment of All Might maintaining relative peace which is slowly fading.

It slipped my mind about the movies. You could watch the third move after season 5 episode 18, which it takes place after. As for the second movie, you might want to wait until you finish season 5. Bones kind of dropped by ball with the second half of season 5 and changed the order.

I think what they are implying with the visits is that while Endevar has been inside the Hospital (a psychiatric hospital by the way, she was atmitted after she burned Shoto) but he has never hadte guts to actually go in and talk to her, because I think he _knows_ that this is his fault but he could not face it.

5:00 lmfaooooo no cap it took me a couple watched to figure out what that was but basically In anime, when the animation is all fluid and nice looking it means 1.) something dope is about to happen 2.) they’re moving so fast that THAT is what you would see in real life and or 3.) to emphasize a certain effect like how a head bobbing can emphasize the character crying or dealing with the after math of a beat down, So with that being said, he tried to burn up the nomu but then it caught him in a grip with his stretching quirk (assuming he has a stretching quirk cuz he can fly, speak, multiply, stretch and has super strength and regeneration from what’s in the episode u feel me) and swung him thru the building, endeavor broke out but was still in motion spinning in the air so visually it looked like a space ship but it was good ol endeavor lmao
