You can literally see that no one in the panel got what DQ was trying to say. He was trying to point out that a movie should not be made with a ROI in mind, he wanted it to be like the Malayalam industry where a movie is created if someone has a story to tell. If the audience is able to connect with that story, then it will click. Money should be the biproduct and should not be the primary focus of the film. You can see how Varun was not able to understand DQ's idea and kept repeating their thought process behind making the film where he is trying to increase the revenue rather than tell a good story with the movie.

Varun, anil kapoor etc. these are not actors..they are businessmen. Yes, the By-product of cinema is money but its always about content first. You make great content and if luck also has it, the money will pour in and not the other way around. And bollywood actors need to learn that, thats why they're failing. Cheap templates used to work in the 90s and early 2000s. Most movies were exactly the same. The reason why malayalam cinema is thriving, is because people respect the writers and directors more than the actors. Actors do have fanbases but people are smart enough to know that their acting has to be consistent or no one will watch the movie or celebrate them. And can someone tell me why janvhi is even in this panel? Cant these starkids just start their own youtube channel or something? i mean all they do is get plastic surgery and show off their clothes and jewellery...might as well just be an influencer. Noone is taking them seriously.
