Drove over the Alcan hwy many times in the mid 60's. Back then it was just a gravel road with a gas station/motel/cafe about every 90 miles.

Other than long hours driving each day by myself, the trip was one of the best and most scenic trips I have ever done. I have told people that if you plan on spending time in Alaska, you have to drive up there at least once. It is well worth it. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching.

I hope to film more of the trip while I'm here in Alaska. Sometimes it is difficult to film depending on what it is we are doing at the time. Hopefully there will be good things to come.

Glad you like the videos M Hunter. Like you I have not done much during the summer due to virus. Not normal times for sure. Hope to get to the cabin now more as the weather cools. We should have a winter trip planned too. Thanks for watching!

I liked that area because it was where I started to get into the woods and start of the Canadian Rockies. Glad you liked the video.

Glad you enjoyed the video! It is such a long trip but I've seen so much more than the previous times when I flew up. Having a second person in the vehicle would make the trip much easier but sometimes that's not an option.

A lot longer to drive up but you see so much wildlife and scenery that I never saw in previous trips when I flew up. Caught my first sockeye salmon last night flipping in the Kasilof, saw 6 moose last night, that's what it's like being up here!!

Thanks for watching! The cabin is much closer to home than Alaska but the options to see and do things in Alaska is so much greater. Having a great time so far.

Can also get blood clots, that's what happened to me.I had 5 blood clots go through my heart and land in my lungs. That happened in 2011 traveling from Florida to Illinois. Then spent 3 long days in the hospital then drove to Cook Minnesota for family vacation

How dare you do a long trip like that in a Toyota? Hahaha just kidding, love mine, haven't watched the entire vid yet but I'm sure you'll be fine! Enjoy and keep up on the vids, cheers

Isn't it safer to sleep in your car then out in the open of no where? You never know what looney tones are lurking around to rob you if they know you are an out of town traveler.

The teepee was set up in a city campground so it was pretty safe and secure. I agree that if a person is along a road or highway out in the middle of nowhere, sleeping in the vehicle is a safer option for both people and critters who might want to pay you a visit. I never felt threatened on this trip and most camping was done in designated campgrounds. Thank you for the comment and watching the videos. Happy New Year!
