"Witnesses" is a documentary film created from interviews that the War Archive team has been collecting since 2022. These are the stories of five brave residents of settlements north of Kyiv (Moshchun, Yasnohorodka, Borodyanka) who survived the Russian occupation but never stopped resisting.
Delivering humanitarian aid, rescuing our soldiers from encirclement, providing medical care, cooking for soldiers or just for cats - all these are big and small personal feats that inspire and give us strength to continue the fight.
The film premiered at the 20th Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.
The War Archive project is implemented in cooperation with the NGO Docudays (Ukraine) and Infoscope Ltd (UK), which collects documentation of the events of the full-scale invasion. An important part of the War Archive is interviews with witnesses to war crimes and war events, which can help in future investigations and, ultimately, punishment of the Russians.
