Leslie I’m very frequent to Utah. I live on the east coast. I’ve got many friends and family who live in Utah and Colorado. I had no clue what Dumb and Dumber was filmed just a little bit away from where my family resides. I was just barely 14 years young when I saw the movie was released. I’ve rewatched it a million different times and it’s always a feel good kinda movie. I flew out to Utah when the Salt Lake City Airport was still its original state of existence as it was in the film. I wish I had payed more attention to the airport at the time I would’ve taken some photos with a throw away camera which was very common back then. If course now every thing is all digital. I still go back to Utah annually. So I will have to see if I can relive your experience This was very wholesome for me. Thank you for sharing your experience! Very well done!

Woah, I live in Utah and walk by that apartment building all the time (I think it's the one on third east and third south in downtown Salt Lake from the look of it) and I had absolutely no idea it was the apartment building from Dumb and Dumber! That's one of my favorite comedy movies ever too, I don't know how I never realized this. Also, if you're ever back in Utah, it could be interesting if you did a shooting locations video for the movie Hereditary. That was filmed almost entirely in Utah too. In fact, Joan's apartment building from the movie is only a few blocks from the Dumb and Dumber apartment location.

I live in Utah and have always been stunned I live so close to a couple of filming locations from this movie. I've passed the mansion and train depot countless times whenever I happen to be in downtown Salt Lake. Between this and Sandlot being filmed close by is amazing.

Great job this was a childhood favorite movie of mine. Really crazy I lived in SLC in my 20’s And not knowingly viewed an apartment at that building they lived at in the movie, I almost rented in that building lol and I interviewed for a job in the building where Lloyd killed the Owl lol wow .

You need to come back and film the diner with the salt shaker and boilermakers. Its only about 15 minutes west of the airport. As someone from Salt Lake its been interesting seeing the filming locations evolve and change over the years.

The lady that Loyd is arguing with over delivery of pets late... that's the lady from Something About Mary! When you are visiting Lyods apartment building.. You say that Harry and lyod think that they just forgot to pay their gas bill... but there's so much more funny in that scene! The door knocks in lyods apartments... they think that they forgot to pay the gas bill! It's so dumb and absurd that Lyod and Harry would think that for not paying the gas bill... it would be reasonable someone to show up, with a gun! Like... "We're not giving away free gas over here!" Ya know what I mean?

Dumb and Dumber original was filmed in ft Morgan estes park and aspen Colorado. Were does your family live in Colorado?

This is the original and they didnt film in Aspen at all. I have a separate video of the other locations where they filmed. They filmed at The Stanley Hotel which is in Estes Park. They also filmed at Copper Mountain, Utah, Breckenridge and other places. This video is only some of the Utah locations. My family doesn’t live in Colorado.

@@LeslieLove yep sorry i meant Breckenridge . i live in Denver and they filmed restrurant and highway scenes on minibike in ft morgan 90 miles east of Denver and yes i Stanley hotel. i go there couple times a year. Very nice little mountain town.

@@mattw7623 a friend of mine went to see the gas station restaurant where they filmed and saw that the restaurant is is gone so I didn’t make my way over there. But from the outside you can see tell it’s the same location. And that’s cool, I love Denver :)
