Today we went to this clothing store to buy some clothes and shoes. My sister wanted to get these really cool red shoes .When we had gotten our stuff we went to the cash register but then my mom remembered she had forgotten her money in the car so her my sis and bro went to the car and I watched the stuff. When they came back we couldn’t find the shoes my sister wanted anywhere. So we decided to get a new pair. We had bought all the stuff and were sitting in the car when my sister says “ wait why do I have two pairs of the red shoes?” Then we realized that when my mom and my brother and sister had gone to the car they had accidentally brought her shoes with them. So my sister and I ran into the store and gave them back the shoes and told them what happened. I’m glad we got to put a smile on someone’s face, because he said not a lot of people would have returned it.

I actually work at a Walmart and well it's true most of our stores aren't allowed to confront someone stealing unless you're a salaried member, as unfortunate as it is however we're allowed to approach them and ask if they're finding everything ok in an attempt to deter the theft. Also, from what I was told anyhow. If they're attempting to take a shopping cart full of items we're allowed to grab the cart in order to stop them since it's not direct contact and we're simply grabbing Walmart property (the cart) We're told not to confront or pursue the thief in question because no item(s) no matter the amount in total is worth an employee's life, we're told that no one knows if they're carrying a weapon in their clothing be it knife or gun and our safety comes before the items that were stolen.

I ended up crying and felt very sad for the lady in the Asian market because I remember when I was a little girl, my grandma quit her job to take care of and remove me and my 3 siblings from an abusive house hold. From then on only my grandfather was working and there were times when the cabinets were literally bare.
