About religion (or, more appropriately, God) and bad stuff happening to us, I have a thought I'd like to share. On an individual level, a person will livefor 100 years or less (almost certainly less), and will be dead for a million years (for starters). Going for the lenght of time alone, that suggests that, on the long run, the next life is the important one, and this one serves only to determine how it will begin. I'm assuming the the next one, like this one, will havetheir ups and downs too, of course.

@@sergioaccioly5219 I think a lot of people assume God to be a scary ruler over them, but his love & mercy is immense. I’ve seen that firsthand (or leg ha). That’s the main thing I was trying to express is that it’s actually pretty tough to land yourself in eternal torment in my beliefs, but you’ll go where you’re most comfortable & there’s 3 levels or areas to what most people would think of as heaven. It’s not always a popular belief with other Christians & I get it. I would think it was odd if I hadn’t known about this belief for several years already. I love that even if you choose to make your relationship with God non existent, there’s still some hope for you in the next life to avoid endless torment, but also that willfully rebelling (meaning you’ve been taught & still choose to act away from God, you’ll face consequences).
