Sometimes there are financial predators hanging around successful people in entertainment just waiting to take advantage of them as well. These managers, lawyers, and so called accountants should be held responsible for taking advantage as well .
@carinaelizabethpaul9785 Жыл бұрын
Exactly it's the managers, accountants, and lawyers, and if they don't pay their taxes it's all over for them. Plus buying all this jewelry and cars and clothes and not watching out for their financial statements and thinking others will take care of it. Plus they only get money for the live shows they do. The record companies take a large chunk first and other business people leave the artist with a small amount of money. Signing those contracts is hell for some. they tell you to sign right away and it could be pages of print. The print will say the record company keeps 50 to 70% and then they have to pay off everyone else.

He see these guys with expensive watches on their wrists saying time is free! He asked the interview what time it was; then said that cost me nothing! A lot of people that don't come from means don't understand that your worth is not what's on your wrist, the car you drive, or the mansion you bought. All I remember about MC Hammer, was him doing "Can't touch this" in funny pants and realizing he just took Rick James bed track for Super Freak and replaced the lyrics with his. Never paid him any attention after that, except on "In Living Color" where they did a great parody. And it was a very good parody.

Van Halen once owed their label and manager etc a million dollars even after a huge American tour and a million selling album! To top it off, they had just 3 weeks to come up with their next album! Despite the many distractions and huge egos, VH is a Rawk success story with a lasting influence upon the American music that is loved the world over. Yep, it's a strange world when there's a moral story in which the main characters are egoistical rock stars!
