Hi, great video. The blue bridge that you forgot the name of is the Manhattan Bridge, hence the name Dumbo (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass)....lmao!! The street you were on with that famous iconic shot with the Empire State Building in the middle is Washington Street. It's right off the Brooklyn Bridge. Brooklyn Bridge Park is right under there. I don't think all the piers were completed at the time you did this video. All six piers are now completed and beautiful. You gotta check out the Brooklyn Heights Promenade which isn't too far from there. You get great views of not only Manhattan and NJ, but also the piers as well. My first time going was December 16, 2017. The only pier that was ready was pier 2 (but it's not opened in the winter). I went to the park several times after that (crossing the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan) a year later. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was witnessing the construction of pier 3. I only realized it later on after I did a comparison with my pictures. I am planning another trip in October so I can catch the fall colors. Thanks for sharing!!

Wow cool man, I always loved shots of that bridge. And dude, those old building with black hatches (or how do you call that), we have almost identical ones in Antwerp where I lived!
@MannyExploresVlog7 жыл бұрын
Tom in the Philippines yes I've always seen pictures of this bridge everywhere like an icon, but never thought about checking it out until I saw a video of it, and yes the buildings look a lot like Europe
@Tominthephilippines7 жыл бұрын
Yes it something you could take pictures of in a 1000 different angles. Maybe if you're interested in some history and maybe another subject to your vlog, you could do research on Red Star Line, a shipping company that brought millions of people from Belgium - through the port of Antwerp - to the US (I think NY) and Canada, between 1873 and 1934. But the story around all of that is really interesting, how people got desinfected and packed like sardines on the boat and so on. There's a museum in Antwerp about that. Maybe you can find some info about that somewhere in NY? Would be cool to see.
@MannyExploresVlog7 жыл бұрын
Tom in the Philippines that sounds pretty interesting maybe there could be some area related to that here in nyc, I know in Ellis island lots of Europeans migrated to America, it's not far from where I live
@Tominthephilippines7 жыл бұрын
Yeah dude, Ellis Island is the one where Red Star Line dropped these people I just found out. Last year there was an exhibition about it at the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration. Would be cool if there's still some other things to find out about that.
@MannyExploresVlog7 жыл бұрын
Tom in the Philippines yes I've read about history of Ellis island and it's really interesting, the island is closer to New Jersey side where I live, than New York side, so maybe there's tour or a way to get in and explore it's not far from the statue of liberty

Puedo hacerte una pregunta,? el ferry de NYC es abierto en la parte de arriba? (creo que es una alternativa mas barata a los tours en cruceros.)
@MannyExploresVlog7 жыл бұрын
@varloko887 жыл бұрын
Gracias Manny, te preguntaba porque en mi proximo viaje a New York quiero tomar ese mismo ferry que sale de la 34st. y que hace paradas en brooklyn para hacer tomas. muchas gracias, saludos

T Cra You could find Apartments for like 2-3k a month that's reasonable coming from Manhattan. What I like about Brooklyn is you actually get more square feet for that price
