DUMP DIGGING for lost treasure and bottles. Metal detecting finds iron galore but no silver or gold.

I did some dump digging and metal detecting, looking for lost treasure and bottles at a mysterious mound of soil. There were loads of iron, and lead, but no gold or silver (this time).

Pie funnels were to let the steam out of pies. I guess the steam would otherwise make the pastry soggy & could possibly lift the pastry or crack it open.

With the traffic noise in the background I'm guessing they widened the old country lane and what you have is a house demolition site bump from the road widening.

what if you went to the oldest dump site you can think of - make a bunch of loose dirt - run a magnet through it....and then detect the remainder (Ive been thinking about that too - there is a dump near me - if you sift it...coins and jewelry will turn up (and marbles..bits-and-bobs..etc too) - but - you only find something interesting every few buckets of dirt.....detecting has yielded a solid field of iron..mostly....

Every time I see you open a plastic bag I hold my breath because it could have been cat or dog feces, just about anything that could have been disgusting at one time. I do hope you aren't breathing in stuff like that. You never know what was in there. You may not have ever tossed something like that into a plastic bag but take the worst case scenario and use that in context with the rest of the population that isn't neat and clean. I won't touch stuff like that, I just leave it alone. It was in a bag for a reason and I very much doubt a person would throw coins away with a plastic squirt gun. And notice how it is a completely DIFFERENT colour? Meow, woof, woof.
