Over the years I have made some awesome dumpster diving discoveries, made some extra cash and best of all kept the local food bank well stocked. Sadly my firefighting injuries won't allow me to do it anymore but now thanks to you two I can relive some of those fun forgotten Dumpster Diving Memories so yes please do more, a word of advice is always wear gloves as you never know what you may find good or bad.

I have to say I admire that you guys can check out the Bath and Bodywork’s dumpsters! I am allergic to everything they carry and would end up in the hospital if I were exposed to it for long. Used to have to avoid going by their entrance when they were at the mall.

There was enough in there to last you both a while, or you can put it in a cooler for $1.00 each during your garage sale. A bottle that size here is $2.50 per bottle. I used to be a dog handler in AK. I would dumpster dive down on the spit from the cannerys & the charter fishing boats. Our dogs ate like kings. Salmon, and Halibut. Not to mention, picking up everybodies freezer burnt food, and hitting the local butcher up for all the moose/cattle scraps Only time & fuel, and 10 large freezers to feed a very large dog yard full of hungry huskies. Nothing wrong with dumpster diving.

20-30 years ago, there was a store called (don't remember the name, maybe Biggs). Their shopping carts took a quarter deposit that you got back when you hooked the cart back up to another cart. After they closed for the night my Mom and I would drive around the lot and return carts and get the $.25 that other people didn't return because it wasn't worth it to them. 😀 I so enjoyed that. Mom has been gone 12 years now. So much fun. Your dumpster diving reminded me of that. 😁 Love that D-driving

Include them free with your medical stuff at yard sales. If you find a great haul with food you can't use, see if there is a blessing box or free pantry in your area. A lot of schools have them these days. You probably know all this as it is what you use to do. I didn't follow you then so probably talking to pros! LOL! Great haul and I love dumpster diving. The last time you were filming and TRYING to dive at the same time and you tried to open the heavy box with the white cooler inside, it would have been great if you went back and got it. Those white coolers are usually used for meds like insulin and if there were meds in the box, just dump out the meds, especially if it was insulin. But those types of coolers are worth quite a few bucks. I've seen them selling for 20.00 each for that size. Not only can you make money but try to pick them up too if they are clean like the one you found because you can put food in it that you find. You may know Alex and Kelly Sparks. One of their channels is Breafkast, spelled that way on purpose and Kelly gave up her full time job as she and her Husband dive together now. They find SO MUCH food that they give most away to small food banks set up around Churches to help the homeless. So this is a great idea for you two to do in addition to buying storage units. Maybe you can also try street thrifting, but not as it gets colder. It might be a fun thing to do the day after Christmas, then you could go home and make some Mocha Frappuccino's, add marshmallows and flavor the drink with your fav coffee creamer and lots of whipped topping!!! I'm gaining 5 lbs just writing this! Happy early Thanksgiving! I live in Fort Myers, FL and half a mile from Downtown that was hit dead center by Ian. We are recovering but there are still over 10,000 people left homeless and it's been 6 weeks, as Ian took houses right off of foundations, which now is the only thing left. Now, we are having another Hurricane. This one is coming ashore on the East Coast but moving straight toward Fort Myers, then North East up the Coast toward you all. I'm so happy to hear it's only a CAT 1, ours was a CAT 4.8. We did sit thru 12 to 14 hours of 155 mph SUSTAINED WINDS. Occasionally I would hear a loud crash during the night as things hit the side of our house. It was truly frightening! GOD got us through as HE ALWAYS does! I do hope you have a basement and proper drainage for your new house. Basements are not good if your house gets flooded! I will be praying for you all.

About the cardboard boxes for resellers, I say the exact same thing to people that are moving. Pick electronics stores or liquor stores for starters because the boxes are solid and good sizes. Instead I see people going to U-Haul and buying boxes.
