Hey guys, I just watched your video for the first time. I’m so glad you guys are rescuing all that food from going to the landfill. Our food banks here won’t take perishable food like that. They only take it straight from the grocery store. Hopefully you guys can donate that to your food bank. But was I was writing about was all the paper/ styrofoam plates… I’m not sure where you donate those but I was going to say donate to the soup kitchens that feed the homeless. Good job guys! Bananas can be mashed then drizzled with lemon juice to prevent browning then be frozen for future use in baking etc....

It's i sured by the government if it's get tossed as waste, they can't donate it or they forfeit the insurance claims. They can however just dump it in a bin like they do without destroying it all somehow.

You’d think the store workers would band together and demand they get to keep these throwaway items. When I worked at a grocery store they forced us to throw so much away every night while we were all working for minimum wage and could barely afford food. If I could go back I’d raise hell over that.

Just found your channel👍🏻 The amount of waste truly shocked me😲I had no idea😳Just curious ,what time of day do you check dumpsters and do the stores ever tell you that you can’t ? Also do you know how long things have been in dumpster?Obviously all the fruits ,veggies and things like eggs and certain packaged items are good but how do you decide if things like the meats and pizza are good? And why on earth are they throwing away brand new blankets?!🤯 Why don’t stores have arrangements with shelters and food banks to come and pick up discard items? Again , I am shocked!!

Я работала немного продавцом в магазине в России и знаю здешние правила. Там все продукты должны выбрасывать после истечения срока хранения. Дано хранить определённое время на полках, а потом нужно выкинуть и тем более надо выкинуть когда закончился срок хранения на упаковке продукта. Думаю и в США такие правила есть!

In the dumpsters in England the supermarkets lock the dumpsters up so the public can't get in them we would get arrested do this in England even thow it in the bin it comes under health safety laws in England ?
