Tonight we’re dumpster diving at Aldi for free food!
Can’t believe all the food waste in America!! But that’s why we dumpster dive! So we can do all the food rescue that needs to be done.
Dumpsters are basically free storage units!
You just go out and dive into them and swim in all the free stuff!
You can be a dumpster scavenger too! Just go out and dive on in and take whatever you want!

Bananas can be mashed then drizzled with lemon juice to prevent browning then be frozen for future use in baking etc....

Hey guys, I just watched your video for the first time. I’m so glad you guys are rescuing all that food from going to the landfill. Our food banks here won’t take perishable food like that. They only take it straight from the grocery store. Hopefully you guys can donate that to your food bank. But was I was writing about was all the paper/ styrofoam plates… I’m not sure where you donate those but I was going to say donate to the soup kitchens that feed the homeless. Good job guys! You’d think the store workers would band together and demand they get to keep these throwaway items. When I worked at a grocery store they forced us to throw so much away every night while we were all working for minimum wage and could barely afford food. If I could go back I’d raise hell over that.

Just found your channel👍🏻 The amount of waste truly shocked me😲I had no idea😳Just curious ,what time of day do you check dumpsters and do the stores ever tell you that you can’t ? Also do you know how long things have been in dumpster?Obviously all the fruits ,veggies and things like eggs and certain packaged items are good but how do you decide if things like the meats and pizza are good? And why on earth are they throwing away brand new blankets?!🤯 Why don’t stores have arrangements with shelters and food banks to come and pick up discard items? Again , I am shocked!!

I read that it’s not the grocery stores fault that they throw away so much, they buy all that food because consumers, us customers always want a different variety of food, request the stores sell different kinds of food and a lot of people don’t like it or will ever buy it, so it all gets thrown out in boxes. Things are still ok to eat if it says, sell by this date. If you see an expiration date that’s near the actual date, don’t try to save it from the dumpsters. It could be a health hazard to you. Grocery stores don’t donate food that’s almost expired because someone of a lot of people could get very ill. A lot of grocery stores want to make money, of course, and want to get the customers in, so stores get bigger and more options. Even having this hot and cold little buffets to take food home, juice bars, a cheese counter, a chocolate counter and fancy bakeries, a deli with every station looking beautiful and rich looking. I think a lot of the food gets recycled, maybe for animal feed or mulch. Best thing to dumpster dive for is art supplies, paper, arts and crafts, clothes that’s not shredded up.. If you find makeup, make sure it’s sealed. Open makeup even after cleaning up, could still lead to sores or rashes. It’s great that he found all that produce, can you imagine making the biggest bowl of salad!
