I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. As another person said, Landlords usually just trash everything left behind after evictions. I work construction and have done bids for landlords sometimes before they clean out the property's. I have been in about a dozen property's post-eviction pre-cleanout and every one of them had at least $1000 worth of stuff left behind that would go fairly easily at garage sales, especially if priced super low. Its honestly weird seeing what people leave behind despite obviously having money issues, otherwise they probably wouldn't have been evicted. The strangest was one that the renter literally took nothing but a bag of clothes during a police supervised eviction and left literally everything else behind according to the landlord. Asked them about 6 months later and they had decided to store all the stuff that wasn't actual trash at another one of their property's thinking the tenant would dispute/ask for it back but nope, tenant never reached out.

Regardless people make choices and if they want to dumpster dive for junk by all means go ahead. They aren't worth that much money by selling it on ebay if that's the intent after taxes, shipping and so forth

I love watching your videos! My grandfather was a scrap metal guy in the early 1900's in South Dakota! I think it's in my blood! But, for me, I am a retired nurse, so see things through that lens. In the videos you shoot at night, there is often a CLOUD of plaster dust flying around when you are flinging things into your truck! Do you ever worry about what you are inhaling with all of that dust flying around - particularly in the open tops!? It would likely be wicked hot, but you might want to consider wearing a mask! I worry about your lungs!! Carry on and Happy New Year!

If those PS3s have four USB plugs in front if them, then they are the backwards compatible PS3 that can play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games on it. Those ones are worth more $. Either way great finds. Thanks for the great video!

33:25 These guards go on the corners of drywalls or other walls so you have the corner protected or to get a sharp corner when you have brick walls with plaster on it. We have the same things in Germany. We used them all over our house.

Mike I hope you and your family have a safe and joyous New Year 2022. The game systems you found today is one of your better scores. The Cisco switches still go for some money. From one of my collection I picked up over a month ago there was a Wii and a 32" samsung TV. I gave the Wii to someone that had one go missing and the TV I gave to her mother. All in all not a bad find that day.

I think the reason I watch at least 10 episodes every day is so that I NEVER FORGET to recycle or reuse or donate to others BEFORE just simply dumping something in a dumpster. I forwarded this particular episode out to FB in hopes that people will stop being SO WASTEFUL... it is so disheartening how people just don't care - out of sight... out of mind. There were like 3-4 Gen 1 PS3 models the 60gb is the backwards compatible one. And they go for 2-3× of what the other models go for. He should've grabbed the other box. For even in that condition they can add another $20-$40 to the system.

A complete in box 60GB PS3 is worth $320 according to Pricecharting. What an incredibly lucky find.

@@thisshouldbeentertaining3386 No it's a 60GB. The 20GB doesn't have the silver trim, it's all black. Either way both are PS2 backwards compatible (you can tell by the 4 USB ports) and thus old and worth more.
