a friend of mine was a manger of a dollar general and when they were throwing away old makeup, I would just take it to the Nursing home, and so a spa and makeup day for the ladies. I normally did it on the day that the local beauty school was doing cuts and perms. These ladies just loved feeling pretty even for a day.

Right on, Happy Mack! These women are not only physically abused, they're mentally and emotionally abused, been there, done that! They've been made to feel "less than", ugly, unlovable, "no one will ever want you", fat, stupid, it is all BULLSHIT to make the other feel superior. It takes A LOT to get to the point that you realize, it is not me it is the abuser's problem and this is NOT love. They've been pushed to the brink and now they can use every bit of kindness to make them feel like a real and beautiful and lovable human being. I appreciate you saying "be nice" I lived at a shelter for 3 years ( had a full time job) you earned gate privileges the longer you stayed. I was able to have a key to the back gate. Every morning when I would walk to the bus stop I would say hi to people. People that most people will never see, neverwant to see and would never forget what they saw. So, I kept saying Hi!. One day a man stopped me and said I was the only person that spoke to him all day.

Just a simple hi will absolutely Brighton many people's world and I'm right there with you I just impact on the way home from work today I stopped in a gas station cuz I had to get something and this older gentleman came in and he was checking his lottery ticket and it wouldn't work and it fell on the ground and I picked it up for him and a security go and he said you're the only person that ever spoken to me in a week and all he said was here you go and I said well honey I hope you have a really good day so something that most people would take for granted you you got to understand so many people wish they had what you take for granted even if it's just being able to talk to another person to weigh to go keep saying hi to anybody everybody you can in your path I'm a firm believer of we We rise Higher by lifting everybody up all right have a great day

I love make up, I have lots and I really enjoy putting it on and wearing it when I’m out. My face is taking a bit of a holiday during the lock down and I’m getting a natural tan, still have to paint in the eyebrows though as min are barely Y visible as they are so blond - what a fantastic haul and a great idea to give either to the homeless shelter or to a refuge for battered women - they often have to leave home ata moments notice and don’t have the opportunity to pack frivolous things like makeup when they are often running for their and their children’s lives. This Kills Me! First of all, Well done to both you and Hubby for taking every last one, I would have done the same! And for donating! I worked for a National Department Store and they threw out, after writing off, at least that much make up monthly, and when us employees asked if we could have it, we were met with a resounding No! I felt like, on top of the waste, they added a layer of greed. They got their money back on it, and didn't lose a dime, but policy was "throw it out". So...Although it kills me to see all of it in the dumpster, it makes me so happy that this was rescued by you both! Another reason I love your videos. You might want to make note of the date and time you visited that dumpster to see if it's a regular thing.

OMG that's so Awesome, i was a Beauty therapist so I love make up, that's Dumpster Heaven to me personally 😍, a women's shelter would love that as even women who are homeless like to try and look nice and a little lippy can just make you feel emotionally better sometimes , if you feel you look nice on the outside it can instantly give you a lift and make you feel better on the inside and therefore better about yourself, I love how you guys donate so much as many would just sell it but you always think of others thats what I like about you guys so much "your a Blessing to so many" and I'm pretty sure your girls will Love playing dress up with some of that also , and a primer goes on before and under your foundation or powder it helps to set it and to stay on longer, you can also just use it on it's own if you don't want a heavy make up look as it's normally got a little colour tint to it 😊 Stay safe and stay well much love and respect from the (UK) England ♥️😍 xXx

Wow! This is a great donation to the woman at battered woman shelters. Clothing for kids and adults is next. Thank you for thinking of them (so few do) and for gathering up hundreds of make up containers. BTW I subscribed today, your heart is in the right place. Just a thought, from a former advocate of BW, maybe divide the makeup etc up into 4 bags and give them one a month. Sometimes donations disappear and it is not available then. The women and children there have had so little the temptation is hard. Wish you would come across some kids toys so they could have play things. Another missing item kiddos love. Stay well you all.
