Melted Icecream equals the excellent base for a grand milkshake!! You can add milk and whizz it up in yr blender or just add a handful of ice cubes and make a blizzard! Don’t try to refreeze, you’re right…but you can do the above, or add a pint to a boxed cake mix and bake off! Unbelievable delish!!! You two are great! Keep on!

Once again I want to scream, I volunteer at a local Food Bank/Soup Kitchen and are just begging for donations of meat and then I watch something like this and shake my head with sadness!
@asapasiafury41004 жыл бұрын
Randall, I have a question for you, our local food Bank are now requesting receipts for the donations we drop off, they never did that before. Do you happen to know why? Since you volunteer at a food bank. Thank you 😇
@wandajuul51504 жыл бұрын
If the food banks want the grocery stores to donate to them the food banks need to approach them. I also volunteered for a food bank and it did a lot of outreach to local grocery stores. Most stores don't have access to vehicles to transport the food to the food bank. We found that most stores would be willing to donate the food if the food bank would come on a regular schedule to pick it up. It doesn't sound very kind, but the food banks themselves could be WAY more proactive in saving a lot of this food. They need to have people absolutely committed to picking up the donations on schedule and on time--which is a problem for a lot of food banks because they rely on sporadic volunteer labor. You need to stop shaming the stores and get off your behind and reach out to the stores. You might be surprised how cooperative they can be if you're willing to do the work.
@preciousbeautyj69244 жыл бұрын
Wanda Juul every area is different n some stores just don’t donate. We have a big food bank and most of our donations come from farmers, not even the stores in my area wants to donate n worse when it’s a church. So don’t beat down every food bank.
@rgc35974 жыл бұрын
@@asapasiafury4100 I have no idea why they would ask for receipts for donations given, unless they need to no the exact amount payed to give out Tax Donation Receipts for the donars to use as charitable donations.
@rgc35974 жыл бұрын
@@wandajuul5150 We do have people picking up from stores on a daily basis. When it comes to day old baked goods they donate what they have, it's just that with the meat our biggest donation was cut short because the store decided to throw all their not sold meat up on an app to sell to customers at a big discount which left us with little to no meat donations. The other stores in our area a wary of donations of meat and dairy because of having lawsuits brought (or so they say). Oh well time will tell what comes next, as I have heard said only God knows!

Melted icecream and self-rising flour makes the most amazing loaf cake - the sort you can eat as is or put butter on it. That's how I use up the tub that is at the bottom of the freezer and getting ice crystals in it! 2 cups melted ice cream, 1 and a half cups self-rising flour. Fold together. Bake in greased pan for 45 mins at 350f. Leave to cool 20 mins before tipping out.

Wonder if their whole refrigeration/freezer broke down. That happened at a DG near me and a friend of mine took my SUV and filled it 3 times with the contents of their dumpster. Filled up all of our freezers and gave a bunch away. It was below zero outside. The manager at the store had told my friend that they had to pitch it all bc of a law, couldn't give it away. Great haul for all that benefit.❤

I love the tiny gingerbread houses! My kids and I would make Christmas gingerbread houses but I think they only ate the candy decorations! They always frosted the paths with icing sugar and woke up one morning to find the path “shoveled “ clear of snow. One of our cats had got up on the table and licked the path clean. No candy was eaten off that house!
