Hi Kelly & Alex, I’m Jan from Dartford, Kent, UK. ’ve been a follower of your channel since pretty much the beginning, and I love how things have grown. I’ve been to a local Charity Afternoon Tea event today and I was seated on the same table as a young American lady who was so nice. We chatted and eventually I asked where she came from in the States. She replied Texas, of course I had to say. I watch the best Dumpster Diving pair and they live in Denton, Texas. It turns out she went to the University in Denton, so I told her how you rescue things from the dumpsters at year end and she said how wonderful that was. We chatted about campus security running you off and how you support the local community with donations and food etc. suddenly we realised that the other people on our table had stopped talking and were listening to what we were saying. This then led to a discussion about landfill, waste, recycling etc. I’m so pleased to have been able to promote you guys and highlight the great work you do. There are now 7 other people who know about Dumpster Diving and might even look you guys up on You Tube. Stay strong & as happy as you are now, you’re doing a great job. Love Jan xxx

When you come across padded chairs that you like take hem even if they are gross. A little carpet harpoon and a brush and it will come up like new. Or usu could take one of those mattresses toppers and place a cut out piece on the chair then use a sheet or towel or even a bit of a large dress cut out enough to cover the area and staple it tightly to the underneath of the chair. New almost.

The first utensil you threw away was a great tool for making ground meats. You push it into the meats and it breaks it up while cooking and you won't score your pots like axknife and fork or spatula will do. I highly recommend it.

that red kitchen tool is the best thing to use to break up ground beef, chicken, pork, etc let it cook for a while in the pan, flip it and then use it to break up the meat

Keep this in mind. If you find a table like that with the glass top, use silicone gel out if the tube to create the bumpers to prevent the glass from sliding. Daub on a round of silicone, wet your finger and tap the silicone down lightly. Let it dry. This very inexpensive technique can also be used in the bottom of pottery that might scratch a table top!!

How very nice of you two to pick up other people's garbage and put it INSIDE the dumpster. Like! What an idea!! Some people are lazy and just plain old slobs. We have several individuals in our complex who leave their trash bag like 1 foot from the dumpster. They just drop it and leave. Thank you for your kindness! 🙏

Glass table tops are expensive. Even if you don't like the base you can always find one you do like. You can buy the silicone dots to put between the base and glass at a glass shop or big box store. The shelves for the bookcase were in the dumpster.

You just need silicon pads for that glass table. You put the silicon on the metal part of the table and it keeps the glass from sliding off. Can’t believe you left that behind.

That red kitchen utensil that matched the red whisk, was a tool made to mash up things like hamburger meat when you cook it on the top of the stove, like for tacos, etc. I would love to get one, hurt my heart when you didn’t take it. 😔😉.

Just an FYI the red plastic x shaped kitchen utensil you left behind is used to break apart ground meats when frying. Very useful item.
