Me too!! I've seen videos online of people helping scared dogs like that, but i've never encountered one :'( The smaller dog belonged to a woman living at the apartment complex - she came out and got him after a while. I'm not sure the story on the scared pup at the beginning, though.

Where I went to college, our dumpsters were beside the student rec center and laundromat and they allowed us to put all our unwanted items in one of the rooms in the rec center, and you could go look threw the items and take what ever you wanted for free... wed go look at the pile every few days and there was always great stuff, and the end of the year it was full of dishes and furniture and even food.

You need to carry around a 5 gallon bucket with you. You can stand on it to reach stuff and then fill it and dump it into your car to speed things up. Also, those three pronged long handled garden rakes or tillers help you reach all kinds of stuff. Just a few tips from a veteran dumpster diver of over thirty years. I love what you are doing!! Keep up the good work!

Omg that pup was so cute.... we went to a graduation a couple of years ago to a college in South Georgia.... the amount of stuff we found blew my mind... a crock pot, microwave, pot and pans, a bike pump (sold on eBay for 50 bucks), a Nike basketball and so on.....we could’ve filled a big truck with The items we saw....and we love your vids ms Kelly and Was so hoping for a new one before Christmas and it has arrived woohoo

I remember when my Granddaughter moved out of her senior apartment on campus and the overflowing dumpsters of so much stuff. We were moving her home so did not have an opportunity or space for all the good and practically new items.

It was like that when I moved out too people threw away so much unopened food and there were even flat screens left to be tossed.

Good on ya girl for not being too proud to hop in a dumpster and salvage useable things. I would do the same in if I were much younger and able bodied. It makes me crazy the things we throw out. When I was in Bangladesh, people were using every scrap of paper, wood, etc. to cook their food on, which was usually a makeshift stove made from other things like cans and drums. From my experiences in many countries overseas, I have learned the value of not being wasteful and not throw out things people can use. I give a lot of stuff away to those who need it and/or less fortunate. Thank you for sharing!

I just want to say as a new subscriber I've been watching all your diving escapades(lol). When I was your age I used to dumpster dive quite a bit. It wasn't illegal then and I couldn't believe the good stuff people and stores threw out. At one well to do section in town they would change curtains and bedding with the seasons. So at least four times a year I would rack up on snotty Dillards household decor. I was poor but you couldn't tell it by my curtains. Hahaha....Merry Christmas to you! 🎄

So happy to see you back I missed you. That sad dog he looks like he has arthritis caue he wasn't moving to good. And I pray for animals out on the streets that no one takes care of. You are a dog magnet they know your are a kind person & would not hurt them. I feed the stray cats at my apartment. I think this morning I seen 2 feral kittens in the feed chasing mice to eat. Those are so hard to catch & take to an organization that does not put down. And I am in Ohio & it is so cold & especially at night. Those looks to be some nice clothes so sad to be thrown out. They are really picky at once upon a child & don't know why. You could wash & sell on Poshmark the baby clothes & adult clothes will sell

I’m excited too. I have not been in Dallas for years. I like Dallas. And I definitely want to dive at a college . I have just about got the hubby talked into diving. I can’t wait. I will be so excited to get my first bag of clothes. I have found that if I was curb surfing and the home owner came out I would just say are you throwing this away. And usually they are like yes please take it. Sometimes though they say wait. And the next thing I know they are bring more out to me. One day I stopped to get two ceramic pots. Very expensive ones. Like $50 each. The home owner called me back and tried to give me a grill and all kind of things. We were about to move and I really shouldn’t have stopped to get the pots. I was on my way to the store to get boxes when I saw them. But if I was not moving I might have taken him up on a few things. They were nice. They lived in a 350 thousand dollar home. I have only curb surfed. But I found that the people in the nicer homes are so giving. Always want to give you more stuff. Sadly we moved way out in the country ( although I love the country) I’m an hour a way from that city where I used to curb surf. I miss it so much. You got amazing clothes to sell on line. you should try school dumpsters right before school ends and right before school starts. when teachers start setting up and tearing down their rooms for the summer, they throw away tons of good stuff.

My husband is a trash driver for a company her in Illinois and since I been watching I told him to keep his eyes open when he dumps the cans.He paid attention and a day after Halloween he got like 40 kids and some adult size costumes from the family dollar store.I totaled it all up and added up to $240

You really found a lot of great stuff. What I have found about the Once Upon A Child in my area is that they are very selective about the clothes they choose for children even to the point that they want them almost brand new even some w/ tags. I have noticed that also with some Goodwill drop offs so I found it better just to donate to children's centers or women's shelters. Thanks for sharing and blessings.

Use a tennis ball in your dryer for coats. Yes,it does make a racket,but just fluff coat up,& then hang up to finish drying.

Haha, my kids used to have that whole bedroom set of baseball, curtains, sheets, comforter. Ppl will purchase it and use the sheet for a curtain, etc. Also, good material for quilting. YaaaaaY Swiffer....lol

In Canada, people just ask. I have had people ask me at thrift stores what I am donating. I was donating clothes my daughter had grown out of, so I let her daughter go thru the bags and pick out what she wanted. She was THRILLED. So was the mum. In Surrey BC, we put things out on the curb at the end of the month, we are giving away for free. Everything I have ever put out from a small shelf and book case with books and knick knacks always gets picked up. I have picked up a suitcase, a recliner and a chair that I used for a planter.
