Mike, love your adventures. A couple observations. 1) When you have to move stuff several times it costs time and time is the most valuable thing. 2) you unscrewed a steel A/C recharge can and left it. Minor thing but it cost you time to remove can when you were already keeping the gauge.

Almost everything that I find in the trash that’s electronic or mechanical etc...I would think it wouldn’t work but 90% of it does work...vacuums generally just need cleaned...I found a smart tv that I repaired with a new capacitor...took me 5 minutes to fix it...I’m amazed at how much is thrown out that’s still in good shape...

Hi MTS 👋🏻! That display box is great to put in all different kinds of memories from weddings to birth of a baby. I have one and I put small shelves in it. Loaded it with tiny little miniatures. My grand kids call it the “I Spy” box. They love searching out tiny treasures.

You can use treadmill motors for generators. 400 rpm is about 14.5v and you can run your house with it connected to batteries.👍😉

Hi Mike. Retail on those fancy art frames starts at $20/each. The canvas panels run $5-10/pack. Frames are very expensive these days, especially wooden and ornate ones. A 16x20” frame starts at $40.

Hi Mike. I posted this on a previous video but it probably already too many responses for you to read and I really wanted you to see this so I'm reposting here; Hi Mike, I hope you get a chance to read this. This is my story and your part in it. It started about 2 and a half years ago when I stumbled on one of your videos. Due to a health scare I had radically changed my diet. Not only did this change improve my health but resulted in a huge increase of energy and ambition. You inspired me to dive. I began looking for good saleable items. Like you I realized the vast scrap potential and started to drag home al the scrap I could find (yes, I say "scrapity scrap scrap". This led me to begin outright scraping. Putting up ads and ad picking up scrap. At the time I was driving a GMC Jimmy. At the time scrap prices were in the toilet. After about 6 months I realized that I didn't want to sell scrap at that price. Fortunately for me I didn't need the money and had the space to score scrap. They only thing I sold were good items. I scrapped hard, picking up scrap on my way home from work and breaking down scrap in my free time. I bought a shitbox truck, and eventually a 16 foot trailer. I started selling steel about a month ago. I'm still hanging on to my non ferrous. I have approx. 100,000 pounds of steel on hand and thousands of pounds of copper, aluminum, stainless, brass, and lead. I still dumpster dive but that s no longer my focus. I've made the decision to retire from my regular job at 59 years old and scrap full time. Right now I am recovering from a minor surgery that I wanted to take care of while I still had good insurance. After I recover I will put in my notice and become a full fledged scrapper. I now own 3 trucks, 2 trailers, a Bobcat skid steer, and most of the tools I need. I just wanted to tell you my story, your part in it, give you a big thank you, and say God bless you in your journey.

3:28 my scrap yard won't even take that crap, they always pull it out and place it in the trash bin. not even worth a penny to them. I just cleaned up an old Singer 30-90 sewing machine and fixed and refinished the table that looks much like what was in that trash container, I can tell you for sure every single bit of hardware is Brass even down to the screws,

Hey Mike I have an idea for you, set up bins for people to drop their stuff off and you pick it up out of your own bins. Electronics and one scrap metal in another whatever else. Let the customer come to you. I know not all of them well but a lot of them well. Just a business idea might work.
