You guys are amazing!!!!! A lot of people would just turn around and sell it all for profit, but you donate a good majority of it to great causes. The people in your community are so blessed to have you. Bless you for having a heart of gold!!!!!!! I find it shameful that these large corporations throw all that stuff out when they could do so much good in the community.

@@TigerfanaticYes, although they do profit in some way, they do need to cover their costs and time. But when the main reason they do it is to provide to less fortunate people that is commendable. Who cares if they make some money off the videos, I certainly enjoy them. And I am sure the people and charities that benefit from there huge donations are grateful and would not begrudge them making some money. Those videos are very time consuming to edit and prepare to post, not to mention they spend hours out there finding the stuff.

@@Tigerfanatic yes I do profit from making my videos … finally but the first whole year & a half I made ZERO DOLLARS… I put money into this , a lot actually for gas, car repairs, brakes tires etc. so to finally be making money back is wonderful. Also it’s my second job. I also bartend on weekends, still. So not like I’m making millions lol. I wish…. But def not. Plus like the comments above editing the videos setting up everything loading it all back up to take to donate takes up a lot more time then one would think. So profiting some money back for my hard work is great. But the fact that I’m helping so many women and children in need is why I do it. I’d still do even if I wasn’t making money😉

Shannon let me tell you ,The DG throws out so much school supplies its crazy at my DG half the dumpster was full of school supplies it was crazy I literally filled the bed if my pick-up truck with supplies and I donated to 4 schools in my area. And all over town they were doing a school supplies donation Drive and you would think DG would have given the stuff to at least 1 of the places but nope . its crazy how wasteful they are , but thats where I come in and save it all and bring it to the places that need it. School supplies is one of those things that breaks my heart. No days everything is so cute too. I had a teacher tell me she'd gladly take what i have off my hands. Works for me she lives down the block and the school district splits the school from k-5 which is about half mile away and the jr high which is across from my place so she can reach out to the faculty and see if they need anything. I also have a preschool on my block and often donate stickers, scrapbook papers crayons, markers, they are always grateful. No matter how many years I've been diving I'm still shocked how much gets tossed.

I get it when ever I find bulk items I have a social worker lady friend of mine , just like Shannon's Miss Tara that comes and takes everything I find and donates to the women's and children center as well as the low-income families a place called the buggie bunch they help people with " babies and toddlers" and Also they deliver food & sanitary items to them as well. So yes anything I save is a blessing for someone 💜🦋

That’s crazy, teachers are paying for supplies out their own pockets, when they can barely make ends meet as it is. Many have second jobs as Uber or Lyft drivers. Thank you for saving the supplies.

I wish I could have a Pusheen color book! I LOVE THOSE KITTYS! And I've never even seen a color book with them. I do crafts and having those would be just amazing for me. I'm sure they're gone by now 😭. I soóoooo want to dumpster dive. Unfortunately most of the places here lock theirs up! Bummer! And those how to draw books! Y'all are killing me! The stores dump the school supplies to make room for the Christmas decorations and Christmas food ..cookies, candy, canes etc. Then come 2nd semester of school we can't find school supplies, and the ones we find are top dollar. I have a 2 drawer file cabinet filled with notebook paper, pocket folders, spiral notebooks, pencils, crayolas, sharpeners, etc There's always 2nd semester and next year. I know you're going to donate, but I hope you keep some for your home and the girls school needs. Between our child, grandkids, and now great grand we have been buying school supplies for decades. I also love the notebooks for recipes, notes, letters etc so I want them to. I love school supplies. Great dives!

stores get a bigger deduction for writing off bad/damaged/spoiled stock than they do off donations, and corporate doesn't give a sh**. Food after the expiration date cannot be donated due to health codes. Yes, it's very sad so much stuff gets thrown away and not donated! These ladies are doing good things for the community

What a great haul for a good cause! Never in my lifetime will I understand why companies throw out so much good and useful stuff. There are charities, schools, homeless shelters, women’s shelters, etc. that could definitely use this stuff. Shame on those companies for not thinking outside the dumpster box! How much good they could do and what positive marketing they could get from helping those in need in their communities - if they only tried.

Wow you found some great stuff. It still amazes me what you find. I swear each time you go I shake my head with what you find. There needs to be a change. A law forbidding these dang stores for throwing out stuff they can easily donate. My Mom used to work for Cracker Barrel. She once told me you wouldn't believe the food it throws away. Well I do believe after seeing the ridiculous stuff stores throw away. Paper and bottled water. Diapers, Tooth paste, Cleaning supplies that could easily be donated. And if there was a law they'd probably still do it. .

I have alot of Adult Coloring books and yes they are very expensive. Make sure the girls use colored pencils ✏ because markers bleed through. They can use gel pens just have them put a piece of computer paper between the page when using the pens, they can use glitter pens also. They will love Coloring some of those book.🥰omg what a haul. WOW

I think it's just wonderful that you rescue these goods and get them to needy people. Otherwise WHAT a WASTE. I never knew people do this. I'm so glad you are helping so many people, particularly school kids. When I used to work at a high school here, at the end of the school year, kids would just throw all their supplies away. The teachers would go through the trash cans and collect enough paper pads, notebooks and everything we could use next year.

I found a lot of "bits and pieces" from the Halloween store'; not complete pieces, but things that could be used. I also found a ton of dog scarves and a bag of puppy food at the pet store. My biggest haul was at Whole Foods. It's SUCH a shame what they throw out! Fortunately, they separate trash, cardboard, and fruits/veggies. I got a lot of packaged stuff, and a load of bananas! Keep on divin', ladies! Love your channel!!

Adventure by the Mile I am 67 and I Dumpster Dive. I have a 3 prong rake and a grabber to reach into the Dumpster. U should try it if legal in ur area. U can get food and Nature Valley Granola Bars & hand wipes. All kinds of things u could use and some things to sell to help u with gas $'s. So 😞 times r hard for u right now. Good luck to u.

Ooh Shannon I’m so glad you saved all these school supplies. Teachers cannot continue to pay out of their own pockets for supplies for their students.
