I understand her comment about joy and how having fun does not equate to true joy. I recently experienced some turmoil in my life that should have put me into depression but God. Through that turmoil I experienced a joy and peace that can only have come from God, and the scripture that the joy of the Lord is your strength, became real for me. I experienced how His joy strengthened me that many people did not even know I was going through or had gone through any problem. God’s joy is a supernatural experience that strengthens you.

I got into a same sex relationship at 17 I grew up in church but been molested and hurt by men so I turned to women these women were broken had their own issues but they were a comfort at the time where I had underlining issues . I receive God at 18 and got the conviction to give up the unhealthy relationship I knew I loved God and wanted to do right by him however I told him he needed to remove the person from me if he was real I would know if he removed her from my life. Well she called me few days later and told me she wouldn’t drag a church girl to hell with her and that she knew this life wasn’t for me.. I never looked back after that although I have fallen short along the way. This walk is not easy the biggest enemy we have is our flesh

Fix your eyes upon the lord and all else will be added unto you. A practical tip is in the mornings or at night or both, put on worship music, worship him. Write out your prayers to him in a journal (it helps with a loud mind. And most importantly read the word. Read the New Testament, John and Roman’s is a great one to read. Don’t read verse by verse, you won’t have context. At the very least read one or two chapters at a time, if you can’t get through all of John. Get a highlighter. Before you read, during and after. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what he meant when he wrote it.

my mother told me that her duty as a Christian was to instruct me in that way, there was no point in going to church and teaching if she did not encourage us to follow God at home. So she told me that she would read two hours a day from a book that would instruct me in the way of God and I found the book Gay Girl, Good God by Jackie and started reading it. There has not been a chapter that I did not connect with, two of them have made me cry with everything and snot, and the others have filled my eyes with tears and have made me feel a lump in my throat, now I'm in the part where the call of God is so strong with His voice in Jackie's head, with that loud noise, that I wonder if all this is a call from Him to look for His closeness again.

As a heterosexual, this message has truly opened my mind more on this subject than any other message I've ever heard, and I'm no spring chicken, Lol. All of her points were so accurate and well explained. If the church had been more open and loving in the many generations passed, just imagine how many more souls could have been saved. Just imagine how much better off the people struggling with this particular sin would be. Imagine how many more people could have been drawn to God, and/or delivered. I’m a mess. Molested, hurt by men my whole life. I struggled with an identity crisis as far as my gender since middle school. I couldn’t get far with women. I find myself attracted to men (my husband strictly). I’m a mom of 2 and my husband has cheated on me a lot (men and women) my gender identity crisis has started up again but this time it’s worse to where I find myself wanting to transition into becoming more of a male. I still would be married to my husband and it’s very confusing but I’m a Christian and I love God. I know this is so wrong and that I’ll never be a man no matter how hard I try. But I struggle so much and I hate myself. I’m so ashamed and my husband now knows and is supportive and also a Christian... I feel I can’t go to anyone here because of judgement, being treated differently or being shunned. I need help and I found this woman... God use her testimony to help me on my healing journey that I long for.

I love this testimony! Mine is similar, even down to the theivin! When I was getting arrested and escorted, that old song Bad Day was playing over the shopping places speakers - talk about timeliness lol I genuinely appreciated the ending of this. Hearing it like this estalished something new in me. The story of the next day hit the nail on the head, hearing it worded that it was wanting to do what was honorable in the sight of GOD is what was different. There is one thing I believe will help. When it was stated that God made life bad to show his goodness... this is perception , but not the truth. The TRUTH is that Jesus and repentance was rejected, resulting in rejection of His cocering, which led to physical manifestations of the curse of the law, which is what Jesus and repentance redeem us from. He redeems us from the curse of the law. Deut. 28 is an excellent passage on the blessing - how life will be when we are right with God and it also details the curse of the Law, which those who do not walk with Jesus are promised to endure. Yes, the enemy will still attack and these things will arise under the blessing, but the devil is a liar, because we'reredeemed and our faith is what sets our results apart from those who are not covered under the blessing. God does not do bad things to us - bad things are a result of the curse of the Law. God doesn't tempt us to sin or make bad things happen to us - the god we are in submission to, which is evident by our fruits, is the result of what happens in our life and in our Spirit and our Faith determines the impact of said curses on our life. I hope this makes sense. It's difficult for me to explain while typing, but I pray it makes sense and helps someone reading. ❤

Her book, is an exceptional scriptural discourse on the mind of God regarding “sin” albeit she discusses her personal journey. It was a witness to what the Holy Spirit has been speaking to me on deliverance, support, and prayer for the addicted. Get it on CD. Listening to the scriptures is simply life!
